Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

The Disney Shills need to take their heads out the sands. If the pixie dust was going great for WDW they wouldn't offering a new discount every week.
And here comes the arrogance again! I just knew it was only a matter of time. Anyone who still likes WDW must have their heads in the sand, right? Your true colors have shown through and you are fooling nobody. Enjoy Six Flags with all the smart people!

The outlook for onsite hotel bookings is historically bad. Absolutely abysmal.

Compensating with more offsite guests in the parks is nowhere close to a 1-1 trade.

Sincerely, a travel agency owner who has lots of good contacts within WDTC.
They said the same thing about this summer, yet the resorts I was at were sold out. Big difference between “the sky is falling” predictions and what actually ends up happening. Some people act like such drama queens. Or kings.

Summer capacity averaged in the low 80s. Entire buildings have been in rolling closures - unrelated to maintenance - at multiple resorts.

Sure Poly, Pop, WL, and CB have been rolling. The smaller overall client pool is concentrating into the best resorts in each respective category.

Swing by PORS, AKL, and the All Stars and report back.

That’s fair.

Can you quantify abysmal and is it sourced?

It’s hard to understand that we are being told on a Disney fan site, a freaking Disney Fan site, that if we dare to still like Disney, we have our heads in the sand. Amazing. And lame.

Strictly anecdotal. Despite what certain people on this board might want you to believe, people are still flocking to WDW.
I was there in August. We had the kid pool area to ourselves every night at POP the week it was 100 like every day. So yes anecdotal but no one had flocked there then..this was also the only year I could get any dining reservation without any issue. We could walk up to the front of the castle for fireworks 10 minutes before. This hasn’t been the case in quite a few years.

Sounds like a wonderful place to be! Not the hellscape that others have claimed. I hope you had an amazing trip!

You’re not wrong. Things are definitely slower. My only point is it is nowhere near as slow as some on this board would have you believe.

I also don’t think Disney’s low crowds are related to the product. The parks are still amazing if you do them right. Could there be improvement? Yes, but Disney is still special. I think the current inflation is making the crazy price increases the last few years seem much more dramatic. A Disney vacation has always felt expensive, but because everything else right now is so expensive (food, gas, interest rates) it seems much more out of reach.

We had the best time, always do! My 2 year old asks to go back every day. The prices are tough right now. My husband and I have luckily climbed up in working class jobs and can afford vacations. But the prices the last few years make me feel almost irresponsible going. Day to day living is just so costly right now. Even though we’re generally very good with money and always save every penny before going.
