I created this poll since Jimmy thick mentioned in his "Is Avatar the Potter killer thread" that he thinks it is quite possible that AK will get 13, possibly 14 million guest a year after one full year after Avatarland opens.

AK as a park right now pulls in 10 million a year. Until Avatarland opens, the number will only go up. In that time, AK could average another million people, so by 2017 AK is drawing 11 million, which is not far fetched. Adding Avatar and making AK open all day and night like the other parks could easily push AK to 13 million guests in the very least.

The theme park fanbase is far more devoted to Disney than anything Potter.

Jimmy Thick- Night time stroll in AK with a gleaming Pandora? I can't wait.

I have no idea about numbers but I can answer a simple question. Will Avatar help pull attendance to Animal Kingdom? Yes. Will it be like Potter? Honestly, who knows. I don’t think so but, it’s Disney… Anything can happen.

I actually agree with james....its 10 million right now and sure to go up for the next three years and then maybe a 10% bump which would get it close to 14 million

'cause Disney tells us it is so? Kinda like Magic Bands will make guests spend so much more money in the parks it will pay for itself, revenue galore. Yeah, I'm numb to Disney's proclamations.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I'm not really a math person, but that sounds about right. Universal doesn't stand a chance - I mean, we never filmed an episode of Full House there, so I don't know why anybody would want to go.
This is a piece of fiction.
But it is a delightful piece of fiction.

I assume it will marginally increase attendance, but I don't think it will take anything away from Uni.

There is no way it will stop Harry Potter fans from going to see Harry Potter, but it might keep people in the AK longer and decrease hopping.

Some think of DAK as a half day park because there are not a lot of traditional "rides". Adding the Pandora experience will likely change that thought process. This has ripple effects as it might keep people on site a day that they might have designated to Uni or another destination. It's going to be interesting to potentially see what happens but my guess is that some who see it as a half day park will now say it's still a half day park, it's just the end of the day.

Yeah, I won't add a day but I will fill like I got my money's worth out of that park now. Currently, it's usually a 9-5 park. 8 hours isn't worth the price, even when it's part of a package. Throw in Avatarland and some cool night time stuff and I'd be pretty darn happy. Heck, just being in the park after dark is quite the fantastic experience.
