Okay, it's great that you guys got all this info on EE, but what did he say about the ADVENTURERS CLUB!?! If I'd known you were talking about the AC, I'd have joined in, too. But I kept hearing y'all talk about the yeti and stuff, so I stayed away.

So what did you learn about the AC? I'm dying to know!

He talked a lot about the props... they're ALL AUTHENTIC.... the flags were taken from an old sailing ship. Some of the pieces in there are well over 500 years old. He says that if the place were to close, he'd be there trying to take some of the props home... however, he said that it is not going to close, since it's far too much of a cash cow.

What else... the upstairs area was initially supposed to be a secondary bar, for anyone who was too scared to go downstairs. The original shows were supposed to be actually believable... that people would walk away wondering it the performer was possibly telling the truth or not. He is also one of the very few imagineers to have a say in the wardrobe the cast wore... the original costumes were his designs.

Neat stuff!!! It is really awesome that he has so much to say to the fans on stuff like this and EE. If you do get a chance to mention it just tell him how much we appreciate all his efforts!!! Belle

More info on the AC from Joe:

He went to flea markets to get a lot of the artifacts in there. He talked about what's changed since he first created it (things like labels on certain things, some things that were moved, etc). He also mentioned how very pleased he was that almost all of the artifacts were there and not messed with. He was afraid that a lot of the stuff would get vandalized.

Some items in there are from his college dorm room, he's got things in there from travels. What else...he mentioned how he helped in the script for the show when it first started, which is also something it is very rare.

Like Rob said, there was a coat of arms in there that was over 500 years old (the one item he would take if he could). The flags are still there (which surprised him) and he laughed about that. Most of it brought back memories to him and then he would remember some of the other things in there and laugh about them.

Joe personally has a huge collection of masks from around the world (hence his idea for the Mask Room). He also mentioned that Jeff Corwin has a huge mask collection from around the world, and started sharing stories of when Jeff and him were last at the AC. Then that would spark his talks about losing his passport years and years ago, and things he deals with while travelling. This guy was AMAZING and I still can't get over the fact that not only did I meet him, but I had the honor of talking with him for hours!

nothing about any new land... I remember specifically what he said about Australia in the interview...

no.

Most of the animals in Australia are nocturnal and the size of a basketball.... which makes it rather pointless to spend the money to bring them here and add a new land around it.

I was just thinking! I heard the yeti is going to be about 100 feet from the train, Now you say we are going to have a hard time seeing him because he will blend into the backround! Is the Yeti going to move? and how close will he get to the train?

Three hours and you didn't once ask him what it is they plan to do about that giant, horrid beige wall? :p

They are going to put a huge advertisement on it for the upcoming Disney movies.

Yes, he will move. He won't be 100 ft from the train, since that would basically be on the complete other side of the mountain from you. He will be more like 10-20ft away. Maybe closer. And I believe he is about 25ft tall. (Thats from memory, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong)

Awesome info guys. So, and Im sorry, cause I cant help myself......in the spirit of Beastly Kingdom, new lands, etc...did he say anything about an new Indy ride, Bald Mountain, Harry Potter, expanded Monorail, or a 5th gate?

**D__________g for cover** :D
