Maybe there should be official layouts to choose from so it's more recognizable. Here's some I came up with.

Once I finish your ID, upload it to Walgreens.com, and get it printed on nice, sturdy, glossy Kodak paper for only $0.19 and pick it up at your nearest Walgreens.

Sledge, thouse look great, my concern is using the Disney charactors on a non-disney produced ID. I would even be suprised if Walgreens would print that, because of the Disney copyright on the charactors. But if you can make that work, that's fine for your ID. As I said please keep it to the original form on post 1, which you did just fine. Like I said my only issue is with the copyrighted images of Disney. Steve has said that Disney is very touchy about thier charactors on unofficial merchandice and appearing in the parks. Thanks :wave:

I make T-shirts featuring Disney characters every time I go to a Disney park. I don't think Disney would mind as long as the forum isn't officially attatched to it, which is isn't, seeing as how we aren't putting wdwmagic.com anywhere on them.

Arrrg, I want to make mine NOW, but I'm going to wait until I have my new avatar up :(

My new avatar being a picture of my CM name tag of course :D

I'll probably (dole...) whip up something simple to stick in my lanyard the days I'm at the park before I'm a CM though...

I realize it's not a huge concern, but I'm trying to keep everything as uniform as possible. It's a bit difficult as so many people have so many great ideas, but we have to stay uniform, or else things will get so bad that they are out of hand and we won't know if it's a forum ID or not. No offence Sledge, your ID is ok. :wave:

Yeah.... I think they all need to be uniform like yours chap. Otherwise we'll never be able to tell them apart..... and also some people don't have the ability or program to make really great ones like sledge. I understand that they could just get it through walgreens, but most people would not go through the hassle of doing that. Don't get me wrong Sledge, I like the ones you have made.. but I don't think it's a great idea due to copyright issues, especially since people would be buying them from Walgreens and walgreens would be making a profit off of disney stuff. I could be wrong though- I'm no expert.

Therefore, I vote that we keep them VERY close to exactly like Chap19714!

So at the very least I've updated my Avatar. LOL. (Picture taken on our LAST wedding anniversary--in our matching Tiki Mickey outfits.) We've got new Island Mickey matching outfits for this year. LOL. (How many years before my oldest son starts refusing to wear them???).

Gees, I'll have a lot of tags on me... from this site, and the others I'm on. At least I'm DisneyBride94 on two of the sites.... LOL.

I am actually a Certified Photo Specialist with Walgreens. You are allowed to print artwork as long as you are the creator of the artwork or have permission from the creator of the artwork. If the image contains copyright images/characters you can still print it, but by submitting the photo to be printed you are agreeing to an unwritten contract that you will not sell the print, and you can not print in bulk (26 or more at one time). Say I did want to sell these since I made the artwork. Then I'd have to go to Disney and get a release from them to use their characters and images in a profitable way. The only way they wouldn't print the IDs I made at Walgreens is if they wanted a documented release from me, but knowing how things go in the Labs I'm sure this will not be a problem.

In my opinion this;

looks a lot better than the plain white one with really crappy font, no design, or border. :lookaroun

Like I said. I'll make anyone one. Just PM me letting me know the design you want and I'll get it back to you within 72 business days. :lol:

Like I said..or well..didn't completely say... I think that yours look great.. I mean, really good.

BUT here are the consequences

  • Not everyone is going to use yours
  • Being so disney-like and colorful, it will blend in with other disney related things that well- disney sells.
  • People would think it was more of a cast member id
BUT again- DONT get me wrong. I LOVE what you have made, it just needs to be more plain. The point is to identify each other, not proclaim your really good photoshop, publisher, etc, abilities.

Sledge...I find your post complety offensive. I realize the white one's are plain, but that's the point, they are short and sweet. We are not going for artwork here. Throwing offence toward my creation because you feel yours is superior is just plain immature. We are here to get a short and sweet to the point ID, it is NOT to be a piece of artwork. All need to be uniform, or you are RUINING the entire point of having ID's in the 1st place.

Figment1985, JEDIsney, and myself have all been working very hard to get this idea off the ground, and want the Idea to work, however we need complete and full cooperation of the ENTIRE thread on the 2 ID's from the beginning. Your bashing the originial idea, along with discontent for uniformity of the ID's is completely missing the purpose of the entire thread. If you felt the ID's needed to be changed, you should have contacted me via PM, not posting on the site. I will not sit back and have all of our work completely ruined. I would like to ask that you only make the ID's completely based of the 1st post. This has pushed me too far. If you feel the need to bash and insult the people who made this entire idea possible, then I wouldn't do it where everyone can see you are just making yourself look stupid. If you feel you have such great ideas, why didn't you start the thread and do all the work for yourself, instead of letting us do the work, and you just benifiting from it.

My appologies if this comes off harsh, but it was brought to my attention and needs to be addressed.
