Considering this is something to do with a comics shop and not direct info from the parks or even any actual announcement or even work permits filed yet ( @danlb_2000 can clarify here) I highly doubt Figment is going anywhere any time soon

Why would Figment be tied to Avengers: Age of Ultron?

The actor playing the Hulk got replaced. You wouldn't like him when his ride gets ruined.

Yep, if anything that's what I would guess. The writer for the comic has two friends in common with me but I doubt I could get any more info from him.

The way I read this was that the May release of the comic could correspond to an announcement regarding the attraction. Just an announcement, not a finished product.

Going a bit off topic here, but has Journey into Imagination ever had a refurb since Version 3's opening in 2002? You know, just a week or so of general cleaning and maintenance? Just trying to figure out exactly how much neglect this pavilion has received the last 13 years.

Marvels Disney Kingsdoms Figment had a 1-5 issue run that finished in September 2014,
you can buy the complete series in hard back now at most comic book or book stores. Marvels next Disney kingdom book set for release is Big thunder mountain issue one will launch in march. This is the third book under Marvels Disney kingdom logo that started with seekers of the wierd. At this time I know of no plans to release any further, figment books. But only the plus side it is a really good read especially if you are interested in the orgin of figment and the dreamfinder.

It's had LED upgrades....

Some projection bulbs have been replaced too.

The drive system is still shot.

No, the complete series aka Figment HC (digest of all 5 comics) isn't out til May. Comfermed also via the author of the comic Jim Zub. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2014/11/24/figment-hardcover-delayed-not-cancelled/

One of the possible reasons that the hardcover edition of the 'Figment' comic series has been delayed is because Tony Baxter will be writing the books forward.
He happened to mention this in that video clip shared earlier from the recent 'Destination D' Event this past November.
His comments in that forward will definitely be worth waiting for, and it is worth holding back the release until he has the time to put some thoughtful words to paper.

The delay may also have been pushed back to insure enough copies of the book are printed to meet demand, as the five standalone issues of the comic have proven to be very popular with fans and collectors.
I think Marvel ( and maybe even Disney ) have been very surprised by that success.

I seriously doubt the delay has anything to do with wanting to wait and release the book to coincide with a possible refreshing of the current 'Imagination' Attraction.
Really don't see that happening.

If there was indeed such a upcoming project in the immediate pipeline, i am sure we would have heard some whispers from sources about such rumblings by now.
News of a 'Imagination Re-Do' would be HUGE...and those privy to such info would probably have a hard time keeping it quiet.
Even if said contacts knew something was coming and could not say anything yet, they would certainly be dropping some major 'hints' that something was up.

MANY want to see that happen...and see a refreshing update that brings back the whimsy and creativity of the past, but entails a entirely new immersive and imaginative experience that today's Guest can cherish.

I would love to see that happen....and it will eventually, but we are all just going to have to wait a bit longer.
