I entered this year as well too. It's the first year that I was eligible and I plan to enter for the next two years if I'm not selected as a finalist. I've been surfing around the google results for "Disney Imaginations" and that's how I found this thread. I attend a small, private interior design school in San Diego, so diversity is a tough one for me... there are men, but we all have the same major. This year, my partner and I entered as a two person team with a project we designed for a class last summer with this competition in mind. I am considering reaching out to other local universities for future submissions to try to build a more interdisciplinary, diverse team. I am assuming since this is a WDW forum that most of you are based on or nearer the east coast?
Thanks! I got a confirmation e-mail the other day. They said everyone will be notified by April 22 so now we wait...I'll keep everyone updated.
My team had the same majors as well even though I think our project material was pretty diverse so I think the submission was fairly solid. haha

Did they send a confirmation email saying they received the project? My last email from WDI was the one saying we were qualified, what our team number would be, and when we should have the project due by. Should I be concerned? :lookaroun
Thanks! You too! I'm thinking the longer you have to wait to hear back the better. They probably congratulate the participates first, then the semi-finalists, and then the finalists.
Yeah, I feel like we covered all our bases as well... got my confirmation too.
Also, I came across this in my travels last night and according to it, there will be six finalist teams chosen to travel to Glendale...

And I'd read that article before; I never noticed that bit about 6 finalists. That's good news. I wonder how different next year will be, since they're moving up the schedule.
