Imagination Update

I though tthe goal, as it pertains to Journey, is to not suck anymore.

Maybe i'm over simplifying it

While that is true, the goal is to also make it an attraction that won't need updating for a long time- as four is enough for Disney... So, they are using all of the money and ideas in the bag (from over time) to make this version so great, that it will 1. have a real wait time, 2. have a real re-ridability factor, 3. not need to be redone again for a long time...

I'm thrilled to hear more about this project--I had no idea it was even truly going to happen, and I hadn't heard anything concrete yet about WDI focusing on getting it right this time. My sister will be happy...she's quite a bit older than I am and has clearer memories of EPCOT Center than I do, and back in the day she was a Figment and Dreamfinder kind of gal.

(That is, until she rode the most recent incarnations, at which point she became pretty disillusioned with the whole pavilion...)

Okay...i hope this does'nt start a riot on here of anything but....

Disney should just totally recreate/restore the ORIGINAL attraction as it was. It's the ONLY way they will ever be able to meet all of those goals mentioned above.

:king:

Okay i said it.....

:D

Lee or Corrus any comment?

Yep...:snore:
There was a concept...still is. There WAS a budget....likely will be again.

Honestly, it's way down on my priorities. Not a big Epcot guy...nor much of an Imagination fan. I'd honestly rather see that kind of money put to use elsewhere.

Hopefully the new plans involve Figment and Dreamfinder together again. The combination of the two and chemistry between those two characters are that made Figment such a great character. Having Figment go Stitch all over the Imagination Institute just misses the entire point of why the little guy was created.

Either way, its nice to see the Institute get put out of its misery. This concept does not work anymore.

I would actually take a few more years of HISTA if we got a rehabbed ride and the pyramids reopened.

Is it just me or does there seem to be nothing but good news coming from EPCOT the last year or so.

yea, well it seems the people in charge recognized the potential of what was, and what could be again, an awe inspiring theme park of the future

But Lee, this is one of the least visited attractions in Walt Disney World (the Swiss Family Treehouse has higher numbers than the Imagination ride). The pavilion needs the money!

That and Figment's the mascot of the park. And we've already seen what's happened when they tried taking him out. Bringing him and Dreamfinder back to glory again should be a big priority.
Hail Fig and DF...

It says a lot when people are more willing to climb stairs in the summer then ride the ride.
