And on that note, I have no idea how, but I got to 3 boxes. I assure you, not all of it was based on freebies :lol:. I did earn some boxes . Thanks everyone for giving me points .

I've helped those of you out that have been getting the wicked little red boxes, and gave others positive points for their great contributions and content of what they post about. Woody, I have you positive points only because I figured it woulnd't do much but I wanted to make sure you knew I wasn't hating on you. I've never known which to use for you, use red and post a postitive comment or post green with a positive comment. Oh well, you got green. All others always get green too! :wave:

I've noticed that too and I don't know the answer. I was blessed with -1,000 reputation points and that earned me 8 red boxes. Therefore, if all the red boxes are worth the same, then they would be -125 points each. Or, if the color of the red boxes indicates a different value, then the dark boxes might be worth -110 each (5 X 110= 550) and the light boxes might be worth -150 each (3 X 150= 450).

As soon as I get rid of a red box, I'll have a better understanding because then I will know its value!

Each add'l box constitutes 100 add'l points accumulated.
I'm guessing the last 3 are worth 200 each! right?
first 5 = 400 points, next 3 = 600. total 1000

As I recall, Steve stated in another thread that the reputation point system has built in safe guards to prevent members from building up points for one another. I just checked and my reputation points are at -903.

I think what happens is that if you give repeat positive points to another member over several days, the points you give are diminished accordingly.
