Some people have been comparing the shows and have their opinions which show is better. For me it is hard to say because wishes has a firework display, but then Illuminations has fireworks, An explosion, Lasers and a globe that opens up with a pyrotechnic shooting torch. I like them both the same so I cant really tell.

Love both, almost equally. Both have a deep meaning to me and both have great effects, great memories attached to it, and scope.
RoE wins, just for it's unique value, and it's EPCOT...

Wishes - character sentiment and that it has all the values of Disney most ever associate Disney with.
Illuminations: ROE - the story of our Earth and how we will grow for the promising tomorrow.
Can't exactly decide, but I am partial to ROE.

Illuminations, definitely.
Honestly Wishes is one of the poorer Disney Fireworks displays that I have seen, if you had seen Disneyland's 50th Fireworks show, you would know what I mean. (Dsineyland's summer Fireworks show stunk, as did most of this Summer "Nightastic" things, but that's, we will see how good or bad Disneyland's Halloween show will be.)

Wishes does have higher altitude, though. Only thing I prefer, the fact that you can see if from the Icon.

Agreed. And not only original, but some of the best composed fireworks music and Disney parks music EVER.
So yeah, I say ROE.
Wishes is good too, but I really hate it when the cheesy kids choir starts singing.:brick:

wait, what "stunk" about the Summer Nightastic offerings? besides the dragon malfunctioning during most of the summer, the other additions (upgraded MSEP, Pixie Hollow show, eels+croc) were great. And I happened to like Magical, thank you very much
there's nothing like seeing Dumbo flying over the castle Illuminations or Wishes.. hm. they're both great shows but I think I prefer Illuminations

I vote for Illuminations without any doubt.
The music is the best in the whole WDW. The show is amazing, and it gives me a great feeling when I'm standing near the lake the sun going down and waiting for Illuminations to begin. And it is one of the most magical moments for me when the narrator blows out the flames around World Showcase.:sohappy:
