Don't get me wrong we had a good trip. We stayed at the Coronado and woke up to the grass being mowed outside our room a little before 7am. I called the front desk and brought it to the attention of a staff member upon check out but recieved no apology and was never contacted by management. The next morning around the same time guest woke us up loading their vehicle but once again nothing was done. I was told I would receive a voucher for a discount return trip but never received it. When I checked out the staff member said I should have gotten one. He took my information and said he would let management know so that they may send me one. 7 months later I have nothing.

At first I had to check the date to make sure this was not april fools. You seriously complained about workers mowing the lawns? Life goes on for others while you are on vacation, people have jobs to do. I am sure when they got off the phone with you the cm's laughed, it is just an absurd complaint, and I can not even get started on people entering and exiting their vehicles complaint.

And just completely besides - who ever said WDW is a "relaxing, quiet vacation?" That's what remote, Caribbean beaches are for. With as many kids that go to WDW... Good luck! I've heard kids making a ruckus on my vacation, but never landscapers.

Most people from the 'burbs are so used to those noises that they don't even register. :p

By remedied I'm assuming you mean something along the lines of - fired the bartender for not making the ice cold enough, then promptly gave you a voucher for a week long free stay at the Contemporary MK view....because honestly when speaking of such an obvious transgression anything less would be falling short.

And if by fired you mean setting the establishment ablaze, resulting in the reconfiguration of a beloved MK attraction to its former glory.....

Think for yourselfer
One time, a guy walked past me, and I cried. Then a CM saw me crying and DIDN'T hold me for an hour. So I went to guest relations, and they promised me an Itzakadoozie for my troubles. But then there was no Itzakadoozie. It has been 23 minutes, and still NOTHING!!!! You would think Disney would ask guests to not walk past each other, but NO!!!!! They just allow this behavior. So, you know what I did? I filled up my old resort mug from 2004, then I swam in all of the Monorail resort pools...and I am staying at Port Orleans. HAHAHAHA. I have showed them who is boss. Tree.

When at WDW, we usually begin our day well before 7am. My DH goes on a run, while I get ready. When he returns the bathroom is his. We're at rope drop by 7:30am on a EMH morning or at breakfast by 7:30 on a leisurely morning. Our 'night' might not end until 3:00 am...but we'll be up and out before 7:00 am the same morning.

That's terrible! I know how you feel, though. I once witnessed a guest BLINK! Right out in the open! Not only did they take me by surprise and ruin my perfect evening, but it was so loud! I could not believe it!

I then proceeded to talk to guest relations like you, but they turned me down also. So then I ordered a Dole Whip and dropped it just so I could get another one for free. I also stole some of the salt packets from Pecos Bill. Needless to say, I was really ticked.

Ummmmm...well, we're big pre-park opening breakfast people and I have 2 little girls to get ready in addition to myself (since DH doesn't do hair ;)), so I can assure you that my alarm is going off most days between 5:30am and 6. In fact, I even once checked in to a resort at 7am...I didn't even think about curbing my enthusiasm when they said my room was ready.

Now, I've complained about resorts...and some of you have been kind enough to read my rants:) , but it was not on things like this. What's next? I wanted to go to bed early, but the fireworks are just too darn loud?

I've had the problem of fireworks distracting me when I was trying to fall asleep.

Should have thought to complain. They should not be setting off fireworks when I'm trying to sleep!

Silly?????

When you pay that amount for a vacation you don't have staff members mowing outside your room at 7am at other resorts and vacation spots!!!!

I would think they would ask the guest to be quiter???

I contacted them as the grass was being mowed but the mowing continued!!!! I asked to talk to manager upon check out but was told a manager would contact me later for the details!!!!
Ask the guest to be quieter? How he was loading his car, and my guess s he was gone by the time they would be able to address it. Also you should have asked for a room that was not near a parking lot. My guess is you chose not to pay the extra amount for a garden view room. Given your complaints you really should have insisted on a second floor room.

I never asked for a freebie so you can go fish somewhere else goofy!

How would the CM have known about this issue and what you expected if you didn't mention it or ask for it? You must have brought the issue up to them again when you checked out. Sounds to me like you were asking for some freebies, but believe it or not, the Company owes you nothing, nor do they have to comp you anything.

LOL!! oh god.. I had a nice out loud chuckle at this image...Guy minding his own business waist deep in his trunk trying not to squish his wife make up bag so he doesn't get his a$$ handed to him by his better half and then ZZZAAAAAAPPPPP.....He's on the pavement in a pool of his own urine looking up at Darren, employee of the month and 3 time manager of the year waggin his finger...
"Not on my watch b*tch, we got people sleeping up in here"

This is too funny! Your comment just made my night!! Thanks for the laugh!

By 7am we are eating breakfast quickly, then hauling butt to the park of the day. We were up at 5am every morning for the wife to do her morning rituals. The mornings that we were to pooped to move, we slept so soundly that your could have dropped an A-bomb at our door and we would have slept through it.

OP: Get a life and a clue, three posts and all negative is not the way to start out. In a nutshell, we don't care about something so trivial when you failed to follow through. If you want peace and quiet go to a secluded beach, not Disney.

I'm a late riser - at home and WDW (though late at home is 11:00am and late at WDW is 10:00am. I take earplugs. The CM should have given you earplugs and then told you to read that little card in your room that offers you to come back for a discount. There you go you don;t need to ask for anything!

I solved your problem.

Just in case you didn't understand what I was saying let me put it in a language you can understand.

Earplugs!!!!!!!!!!!! Discount in room!!!!!!!!!!! I really like exclaimation points!!!!!!!!!!! Guess how I feel about question marks????????
