Don't get me wrong we had a good trip. We stayed at the Coronado and woke up to the grass being mowed outside our room a little before 7am. I called the front desk and brought it to the attention of a staff member upon check out but recieved no apology and was never contacted by management. The next morning around the same time guest woke us up loading their vehicle but once again nothing was done. I was told I would receive a voucher for a discount return trip but never received it. When I checked out the staff member said I should have gotten one. He took my information and said he would let management know so that they may send me one. 7 months later I have nothing.

That's just silly. I had some actual problems and they (CMs/management) went out of their way to make things right by me.

I too was a little surprised at how early they do landscaping. I rounded the corner at 6am or so to catch a bus and there was a crew fully cleaning out a bus depot (with hoses, leaf blowers, etc.) making quiet a racket... But it was away from guest rooms. 7am is way too early to be doing that by the rooms, and management should've done something. When else would they do it though? The middle of the night isn't acceptable either (and worse) and they'd rather not do it during the day as to be an eye/earsore.

But guests making noise when loading up? What do you really expect them to do?!

Next time, follow up sooner - and ask to speak to a manager when you do.

Silly?????

When you pay that amount for a vacation you don't have staff members mowing outside your room at 7am at other resorts and vacation spots!!!!

I would think they would ask the guest to be quiter???

I contacted them as the grass was being mowed but the mowing continued!!!! I asked to talk to manager upon check out but was told a manager would contact me later for the details!!!!

Sorry, don't think you really deserve anything. I would venture to guess they have to do the landscaping and cleaning at times when most guests won't be about. What did you expect the hotel to do about the guests loading up? At most they could ask them to be quiet. I hate to say it, but it seems like you are just fishing for a freebie, when you really don't deserve such.

I stayed at the Coronado last year in the Ranch area. I am the early riser and I'd go sit by the quiet pool. With the sun up the grounds crew was out every morning with blowers, emptying cans, moving around chairs. The crew was anything but quiet and those hotel room doors are real close to the grass and quiet pool. On the flip side I don't know when else they would attend to it, night? Daytime guests are using those areas. The resort is huge yet everything is very compact like an Urban City, building atop building.

Come on now. When do you expect them to be mowing when everyone is chilling around the pool? Not for nothing but a WDW vacation isn't really a "sleep late" vacation.

With all that being said, you mentioned that when you called they said they would give you a voucher and you were then again told that upon check out, then you don't receive anything within a few days\weeks and you don't follow up with them and instead come here and complain 7 months later? It makes no sense.

You trolling bro?

Seems like trolling to me. Said he had a good time on his trip, but his first post on here is to whine about a very, very, very minor inconvenience. Like you said, if they did the yard work during the day when tons of people are at the pool, they'd get complaints. Plus, I wonder what he expected done about the people packing their car? Like I said before, at most someone goes out and asks them to be quiet. You mean, did a manager not sprint out there and Taser the rotten creep for loading his car?

I drank too much caffeine and couldn't sleep, so they gave me a free week at GF.

OP, I suggest you call them up, tell them you heard a lawnmower and demand at least two weeks.

Also, demand that people not be able to check out until 8 a.m.

Let us know how it goes!

Well you can't really control the other guests they have just as much right to the resort as you do. I've seen better CM's but I'm sure they had bigger problems than guests shutting their car doors :/

One piece of for you.....don't visit Virginia Beach, the military flyovers continue all night and I'm pretty sure they won't stop for you [insert cool face that I can't do on mobile ;)]

OP would be on the phone to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, looking for an Olive Garden voucher, or something.

Not for nothing, 7am is NOT considered early at WDW...probably 99% of guests are up and about by that time. Some of the DVC properties probably have a slightly later wake time since those folks don't necessarily all head to the parks each day, but 7 am is probably already well into morning activity time at the world...most people wake up at 6 or 6:30...on EMH mornings the bus stops are packed 7 am on...

By remedied I'm assuming you mean something along the lines of - fired the bartender for not making the ice cold enough, then promptly gave you a voucher for a week long free stay at the Contemporary MK view....because honestly when speaking of such an obvious transgression anything less would be falling short.

No doubt....I'm a late - ish sleeper at home but at WDW I'm usually handing the landscapers a cup of coffee as their getting out of their trucks.
