Don't get me wrong we had a good trip. We stayed at the Coronado and woke up to the grass being mowed outside our room a little before 7am. I called the front desk and brought it to the attention of a staff member upon check out but recieved no apology and was never contacted by management. The next morning around the same time guest woke us up loading their vehicle but once again nothing was done. I was told I would receive a voucher for a discount return trip but never received it. When I checked out the staff member said I should have gotten one. He took my information and said he would let management know so that they may send me one. 7 months later I have nothing.

They have to mow sometime. It's too bad it couldn't have been done later in the day, but it is what it is. We heard a few "landscaping noises" early in the morning at PORS -- we just turned on the A/C for white noise, rolled over and went back to sleep -- and then enjoyed the beauty of the lush landscaping when we left our room a couple of hours later.

I promise the next time I pack my car up at the end of my trip I will be quieter, tip toe and wrap my bags in pillows so they do not make a sound as I gently place them in my vehicle.
I will also email TDO and ask they stop mowing the lawns immediately afterall who wants o stay at a nicely manicured resort. Besides is ther much grass near the resort rooms at Coronado Springs?

We need time for things to happen.
Hahaha

You know, that picture makes me wonder...how many people don the sword / shield / hat simply to take that picture, but never buy them?
Hahaha - we ended up buying a sword and shield on one of our trips....but not this one - add us to the list - guilty as charged!

I have stayed at Coronado several times as well as other resorts. I don't see any problem with them mowing the lawn at that time as most people are already up by that time anyway & besides, I would rather them be doing it at that time than throughout the middle of the day. I rather them be out of the way before I am out & about so that they don't disrupt the magic. I always thought the landscape as well as everything else was done by MAGIC anyway. LOL

Not that I support the OP, but 9am would be a better time to complete the landscaping. Much better odds of most guests being A)awake and B) not even in their rooms.

There's actually an Embassy Suite in downtown San Diego that does give these out to their patrons. They are next to about 5 different railroad tracks and a cruise dock. We didn't use them and never heard the train, but they said you really have to be on the side of the hotel where the tracks are located.

Wow... makes you wonder, if they can block out the sound of a train... how would you ever hear your alarm clock, a knock on your door, the phone ring or a fire alarm. :D Friend of mine was just staying in San Diego and he was telling me how the damned Trolleys would ding, ding frequently nearby his hotel. Had I known I would have told him to check on seeing if these were offered at the lobby desk.:D
