If I could improve Walt Disney World....

The Largest project that will be undertaken would be the brand new Water Ferry System which would call for the construction of another great lagoon on property that would extend its way to connect the 5 parks to each other thereby greatly relieving the congestion both on buses and monorail along with providing fantastically themed vistas showcasing the parks and resorts that would border the waterways. So in a way, the ferry system would be an attraction on their own. With special "shows" presented depending on which park you are going to [Shark attack for AK, Hijackers and Papparazzi attacking for MGM, Fire/Water Gods battle for PD, World Showcase Lagoon Tour for EPCOT, Character Welcome for MK]

This would let guests go from park to park with great ease and would also help on-site guests take full advantage of the new "Midnight Magic" Program that has the parks open for 20 hours a day for on-property guests

Uptown Disney will also receive some lovin' when it gets "Legoland" a mini park ala DisneyQuest. While Downtown Disney will be further enhanced as a shopping and nighttime destination.

Dark Ride Mania! All the parks are going to receive a whole slew of dark rides through out the expansion here are some of the *new* ones:

The Magic Kingdom
*Stitch's Great Escape
-It's not what you think, The old SGE will still exist except now, it is merely a pre-show for an even grander dark ride that takes guests into the story of Lilo and Stitch from the eyes of Jumba, his creator.

*Expedition Robinson
-A dark ride that follows the adventures of a family stranded on a deserted island which hld many secrets and adventures with guest appearances from Bigfoot, Trader Joe, The Pirates! and The Tiki Room Birds.

Disney-MGM Studios
*The Wizard of Oz
-A tribute to one of the greatest fantasy films of all time, This dark ride will take you to the land Of Oz where you will experience the adventures of Dorothy and her friends and realize that there's no place like home.

*Metropolis
-Based on the classic Sci-fi movie. This dark ride will take you to the future that enver was and always will be.

*The Muppets Take On Hollywood
-Join the Muppets in this crazy dark ride that tells the story of how they came to fame.

The Oz sequences in TGM will still remain. The Oz dark ride is part of a series of dark rides for MGM that depict some of the most memorable movies of all time. and will create a sort of Fantasyland for the park.

as for where they will go:
-SGE will still be in Tomorrowland, given that it is an extension of the current attraction.
-Expedition Robinson will be in Adventureland and will compliment the Robinson's Treehouse
-Metropolis will be located in Sci-Fi City
-The Muppet dark ride will join Muppetvision 3d to start the foundations for a Muppet mini land.
-Manhattan Motor Mania will be in the American Waterfront.
-Aladdin's Whole New World will be in Arabian Coast.
-The Emperor's New Ride will be in lost River Delta providing a transition between the more cartoony Mermaid Lagoon and Arabian Coast to the darker more 'green' Lost River.

Animal Kingdom
*The Jungle Book - Mowgli's Story is fleshed out in this dark ride located in the Asia section of the park.

So where would the show building of Expedition Robinson fit? Unless if that Jungle Cruise redo takes out a crapload of the river, I don't see where it could physically fit... Of course there's always the plan of going out the berm. Have you come close to finishing the map of Magic Kingdom?

Hmmm, not sure if I agree with the Jungle book ride on several points.

1) The Jungle Book is not nearly popular enough to warrant it's own attraction. It had a show at Animal Kingdom, but it was just a space filler for Tarzan, which premiered the year after the park opened. Jungle Book was chosen as the basis for the show because it was about the jungle. They wanted something kids might like until Tarzan came out and they could switch out the shows. It was never meant to be permanent. not enough appeal. Sad, it's a good movie.

2) Placing it in Asia is a bad Idea. Asia seems to be getting the most attention out of the whole park. With Kali River Rapids and Expedition: Everest Asia should be set for atleast a good couple years until the rest of the park gets the attention it needs and deserves.

3) If you are so heartset on making a Jungle Book Dark Ride that nomatter what I say will stop you, then atleast take this advice. Place it in Camp Minnie Mickey. It would have no place in the reaslistic scapes of Asia.

4) If what I've said so far isn't enough to change your mind about it's placement, then atleast recognize this. The Jungle Book probably Doesn't take place in Asia! I don't believe that it's specifically mentioned, but my guess would be that it takes place in either Africa or South America (IE Brazil or something). Now, don't take this as reason to go put it in Africa, because it's still too realistic there as well. Seeing Kilimanjaro Safari that takes you away to the real life savannah of Africa then walking around a corner and seing the cartoonified Jungle Book attraction is not a good blend of themes. Camp minnie Mickey is somewhat like the Fantasyland of the park at this point. All animated related features would fare best there in my opinion, with few exceptions. Theater in the Wild should have been there, but Camp Minnie Mickey was also a place filler, and they wanted to keep the Theater after Beastly Kingdom. Ofcourse, Beastly Kingdom didn't happen. and at this point may never, so Theater in the Wild was placed elsewhere.

In other words, chose some other feature film (or heck, original Idea!) to relace the Jungle Book aspect, then place it in Camp Minnie Mickey ( if an animated feature based attraction).

Jungle Book is in Asia, there's Indian Elephants, Orangutans and Tigers. But I do think it would be good in Camp Minnie Mickey assuming it isn't entirely taken down for Beastly Kingdom.

Good point. Didn't think of that. I haven't see the movie in a while and didn't pick up on the fact that they were ndian Elephants.

Still, I think it would fare better with a different theme and in Camp Minnie Mickey (if the theme is still Disney animated flim).

Camp Minnie Mickey has already been demolished by this tme and Beastlie Kingdomme and Oceana are now in its place.

The Jungle Book dark ride would fit in nicely since it would be themed as if it were real rather than something cartoony. I think it could be done nice enough that the style in which the characters are done would not matter too much since the environment they'd be moving in would be detailed enough. Also, by the time the JB ride shows up, most of the west side of the park wold have already been brimming with new attractions along with Dinoland receiving its 2 giant E-tickets along with the creation of the Amazon.

I originally wanted to have JB in Adventureland but it came down to it v.s. The Robinsons (based on an animated feature film idea I have) and decided that the Robinsons, being set on a tropical island setting, like the rest of AL, would fit in better

Expedition Robinson would be nestled by the edge of the berm near POTC and Fire Mountain. Adventureland would have been greatly expanded by this time letting it flow all the way to mainstreet's Adventure Arcade.

I can come up with a "quickie" map sometime this week or next, I just can't find time to actually work on a really detailed map for the parks yet since school is making me really busy. :(

Actually, after hearing that, if I were you I'd put the Jungle Book in Adventureland and Expedition Robinson in Animal Kingdom ( ofcourse I don't know the plot and if animals are involved). If you did then you might want to replace the Expedition part of the name being that Everest has the same prefix ( heck, even if it's in Adventureland I think you should). Unless you plan on making the characters look like real people and animals, however, it could not plausibly fit into Asia. It just doesn't work. Definate Breach of theming. Asia is based on an actual place at an actual time. The Jungle Book is Fantasy. They couldn't properly coincide without someone throwing up a red flag. Maybe Animal Kingdom could do with a new land that's somewhat like Camp Minnie Mickey. I don't care, but Asia is not a good place for it.

Adventureland, New Animal Kingdom Land, or not at all.

If the JB ride were to be told from the perspective of a Yogi or a storyteller, would that warrant the 'look' of the movie to be incorporated into Asia?

I suppose it could, if done right, but that still leaves the problem of popularity.

JB will be a "minor" attraction that won't be hyped as much (unless it coincides with a DVD release of the movie, which is part of the platinum line)

btw, just so you know, i'm a huge fan of your -yensid "insert clever line here" tlaw1969- thing :D

Lol, thanks, sometimes I think they come across as annoying. Sometimes i don't have time for anything witty and I'll just put "I-like-donuts" or something like that.

I can't believe you put in a Hocus Pocus attraction! Awesome!
I see you toned down on the number of Nintendo rides, narrowing down to just Luigi's Mansion, which is alright considering all the cool stuff you had to make room for. Can't wait for more attraction summaries...

The Hocus Pocus attraction has been there for a while now :D, the Sanderson Sisters are a huge part of "Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party" Every year :D

AK's next big attraction, as part of the big 5 attractions, is going to be "Mission: Atlantis" a journey to the bowels of the ocean through a threatening newly formed volcano in search of the lost empire encountering dangerous beasts that guard the gates along the way.

So, how will the Atlantis attraction work then creature wise? Is there going to be a slight focus on Giant Squid in addition to the Leviathan in the film? And maybe some animatronic deep sea fangly fish (as Strong Bad would call them)?

Yes, all of those including the creatures that were cut from the final film. Although, the movie itself, Atlantis the Lost Empire, will be put into a sort of vague mythology which means you won't be seeing any of the actual characters from the film. so in a way, the guests can either be the stars of their own sequel for the film or be in an adventure of their own. The ride will be creature-heavy with lava worms, exploding fireflies, leviathans, sharks, deep sea fangly fish :D, rock warriors, even atlanteans, working to stop you from getting to Atlantis. It's gonna be a thrilling visual, heart-stopping experience of a ride.

complete synopsis of the ride, along with the 4 other final major e-tickets, will be revealed soon
