Black --> Color = Theme of Mickey's Dream coming true.
Animals ---> Animals = Theme of Dreams coming true with friends.
Villians ---> Evil = Theme of Evil Dreams.
Show Business ---> Mickey = Theme of Walt's Dream.

Mine is actually a very good parade and more effective in the daytime I would think. - The WeirdOne

I agree, it is a good parade, but I still think transformations would be much more spectacular in the night time. Maybe even have some color effects on the buildings on Main Street during some of the transformations (having color shone on the buildings in the first unit, eerie lighting on then in the Villains unit, ect.). It would be much more spectacular than a day time parade.

Again, you're the only one to read my idea meeko, let others make an opinion, FigmentDream may change his and others might agree more with mine, don't hurry your parade as it may get cut for all you know. Same goes for mine. - The WeirdOne :D

I'm still only using it as a possibility and meerly making sugestions. The others can make up their minds, but I really think its a bad idea to just pick a parade based on the initial ideas. I think we should both continue work on out parades and when finished, we can deside on which to use. Our ideas are still rough, so let's all have a chance to work them first.

Well, honestly I like both parades, but I think that Meeko's would be more effective at night, esspeically the blue fairy float at the end, I think some spectatular things could be done there......

Also I think you could sue fiber-optics to make the storybook background come to life, which again would look spectacular at night

WierdOne I think your parade is missing a Fairytale section, I mean what could be more true about dreams coming true then that

What animals did you specifically want to have , I don't think Arsitricats would be very popular, or people know who they are, lol

I was thinking more Jungle Book, Robin Hood ect.

What about for the final Mickey/Walt float that you made the float the outside of Walt's office and with tow shadow window's on each side so both sides of the rout can see, you have the shadows of Mickey/Walt conduct their conversation, that way you add a little bit more of magical mystic to it all

But from what I have heard I would say Meeko nighttime, WierdOne daytime

That works for me. I'll retrofit mine into a night parade and see how it works. With the fiber optics storybook pages, this could be a spectacular parade. I'll do some brainstorming with that idea.

Well, I just thought that a new night parade would be a good idea. Since we're making a whole new park, I think we could try to make a new parade.

Great! We both got our ideas inside somehow! *shakes meekos hand*

As for fairytales, I completely forgot those. I actually have a princess section. Jeez, this is going to be a HUGE daytime parade, 5 different show mode stops! OH MY GOD! I'm thinking of calling it "One Man's Dream" based on the theme song I'm using. - The WeirdOne :D

"One Man's Dream" Parade Float Layouts...

Okay, here's the idea for my parade, float wise. Remember, this is all conceptual, so don't think it is final.

Black and White -
#1 - Steamboat Willie
#2 - Barnyard Cartoons
#3 - Silly Symphonies
#4 - Forest with House
#5 - Film Reel
#6 - Plane Crazy
#7 - Mickey's Choo Choo

Animals -
#1 - Alice In Wonderland
#2 - Aristocats
#3 - Lady And The Tramp
#4 - The Jungle Book
#5 - Robin Hood Forest

Evil -
#1 - Jafar
#2 - Ursula
#3 - Captain Hook
#4 - The Evil Queen
#5 - Spiders
#6 - Maleficent
#7 - Chernabog

Prince And Princesses -
#1 - Jasmine
#2 - Ariel
#3 - Snow White
#4 - Sleeping Beauty
#5 - Cinderella
#6 - Belle

Show Business -
#1 - Ballet
#2 - Opera
#3 - Theater
#4 - Hollywood
#5 - Hollywood Bowl presents "The Really Silly Symphony!"
#6 - Animazement!
#7 - Walt And Mickey

What does everyone think? Each sections stops to continue the storyline except maybe the Princess section which I just really have a problem with, but totally belongs in the parade. Anyways, When each float stops, they will all go thru a show stop mode and the parade should last about 45 minutes. Opinions? - The WeirdOne :D

That's just too many floats. Too many catagories and such. Besides, the floats for seperate villains is too much. How would you decorate them? Here's my idea for the parade:

The first float will be the Blue Fairy with lit up wings in Front of a giant story book. She's waving her wand around and such. Her dress is all lit up with blue. The book that she's in front of is open. And when the float stops, the Blue Fairy says what large letters say in the book behind her.

"It started with a wish upon a star a man with a dream made. He tried to give so much love and happiness to others, it deserved to come true. For much happiness for him and others in the futer laid."

The next float is an actor playing Walt Disney drawing a picture of Mickey Mouse like in The current parade at WDW.

The next float is a rather long one. It starts out by showing black and White versions of Mickey Mouse like Weird One mentioned in poses of the cartoons they were in. The Mickeys are not costume charcters. as the float progresses, the float turns more colorful with more non-costume Mickeys in posses from his color cartoons. At the End, a costume Mickey stands in his Scorcerer's apprintace costume. When the float eventuall stops, Scorcerer Mickey directs costume broom sticks to carry water while roller skaters in Mouse Ears zoom around.

The next float is a collage of The Silly Symphony Cartoons. Non-costume characters of Silly Symphonies on the float, ( maybe a couple of costume characters on the float ) while 3 little pigs characters, Godyss of spring, Skeleton dancers, etc. characters are around the float.

I'm not going to go into detail for the other floats, but here's what they are:

Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs

Pinoccio

Fantasia

Alice in Wonderland

Peter Pan

Sleeping Beauty

101 Dalmations

Th jungle book

Robin Hood

Beauty and the Beast

Aladdin

The Lion King

Herculese

Mulan

Pixar collage

Villains float ( complete with Jafar with the pooper scooper behind it with Iago's yells to get out of the bucket the Jafar's carrying )

Magic float.

THat's it! I'll do some concept art later. What do you think?:D

I agree that WierdOne's parade could be scaled back a little bit in quantity, but I prefer his grouping and story progression, Let's just stick with the framework he has and work with in that. I'll post some ideas on how so later.

No offense, but what you did was totally kill the idea and come up with some parade that could pass for good at WDW. I like some of your ideas, but what you are doing is a) ripping off meeko's parade which is nighttime and b) completely messing up an wonderful idea with junk! Don't mess with decent ideas unless there is something worth contributing. You could have said, "shorten it" instead of writing all that junk. Sorry for my outburst, but that really pulled the last straw.

Back to other stuff, I can shorten the parade, by simply cutting out the animals portion because that is the least coherent. That should shorten the parade to a decent quality. I refuse to really cut out anything else because otherwise the rest of the parade really becomes incoherent, etc. Opinions? - The WeirdOne :D

Well, EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry, but I should have mentioned that I was taking a few ideas off of Meeko's and putting them in my own parade. I wasn't adding on to your idea, it was just my idea for the parade!!!!!!! GEEZ!!!!!!!!! JUNK?! JUNK?! You didn't have to explain that so forcively and sooooo rudely!
I'm sorry, but that statement just REALLY TICKED ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fork:

Personally, again, I excused my statement as what you wrote is in a way degrading to our ideas, because a) there's no catch on the parade and b) it's really a lifeless, no story, parade that isn't really a parade. I'm sorry, but your ideas can be good, you just need to learn when to chime in with your ideas because that one certainly doesn't belong in my opinion and isn't very good. I could go into plently more critism. Agian, I appologize for my statement, but not my opinion. - The WeirdOne :D

Let's take a deep breath Imagineerboy

WierdOne apologized, so please take it, he was a little crass, but I think you need a little thicker skin, people aren't always going to agree with you and they will not always be extremely polite about it

I think you offended WierdOne by in many artists minds trying to compromise his ideas, you really should have said that you were borrowing from Meeko and that you were not proposing to change WierdOne's idea but this was a completely new idea of your own, and I ams sure there would have been no offense

Lets all just rise above our petty conflicts and move on, thank you

Well, I guess I'm sorry. I know I should have said that I was borrowing a little from Meeko and not compromising to WeirdOne, but I forgot.:brick: I was really thinking about the parade. I know not everyone always agrees with my ideas, but I really don't like it if they put it in a rude way.

Once again, I'm sorry.

WE're agreed, it just bugs me when people just deciede to alter my ideas into something they call THEIR OWN without permission and in a very very non-artistic manner by just borrowing. I find that rude. Again, I also appologize. - The WeirdOne :D

I agree with just scaling back the current parade, and maybe a little story changes. Here's my take on the concept:
Black and White -
#1 - Steamboat Willie
#2 - Barnyard Cartoons
#3 - Silly Symphonies

Animals -
#1- Lion King/ Jungle Book
#2 - Robin Hood Forest
#3- 101 Dalmatians

(Aristocats doesn't seem popular enough for a whole float and there are not costumes for any characters from Lady and the Tramp)

Evil -
#1 - The Evil Queen
#2 - Ursula and Hook
#3- Malificent, Jafar, and Chernobog

Fantasy-
#1- Snow White Forest
#2- Aladdin Flying Carpet
#3- Ballroom (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast)

Show Business -
#1 - Hollywood
#2 - Hollywood Bowl Premiere
#3 - Finale

WierdOne, what do you think?

Well, I cut the animals, and the floats are divided into sectiosn for the show mode. Meaning a certain amount of floats will need to be on the route to allow everyone an equal experience without it being too long. So, I combined P&P and Villains, leaving us with 3 sections. Look for a whole parade description soon. - The WeirdOne :D
