Well, someone I know had to cancel a trip recently so I thought I would start the type of thread that she usually starts to cheer her up a little.

The subject is Ice Cream

Homemade or store bought?

Favorite flavor?

Favorite brand?

How do you like it, cone, bowl, shake etc?

If cone, waffle or those styrofoamy ones?

Toppings or not?

Soft serve or regular?

Gelato?

And finally, can you eat it in any weather?

OMG Ice cream is my favorite food.

Homemade or store bought? Either. Homemade has definitely been rarer in my life, but any kind of ice cream will hit the spot.

Favorite flavor? OHHHH gosh. I really like Moose Tracks. BUT. My two favorites would have to be from Cold Stone:

Peanut Butter Cup Perfection (PB cups, PB, fudge) in Banana ice cream.
Cookie Mintster (Oreos and fudge) in Dark Chocolate Mint ice cream.

AUGH so good.

Favorite brand? Cold Stone

How do you like it, cone, bowl, shake etc? In a bowl with a spoon.

If cone, waffle or those styrofoamy ones? Paper, so that it can be recycled

Toppings or not? No. Mix-ins.

Soft serve or regular? Regular. Thick and creamy!

Gelato? I've never actually had it...

And finally, can you eat it in any weather? Definitely. And I have been known to do it!

Homemade or store bought? I've never had homemade, so store bought!

Favorite flavor? Mmm...it's one of the Ben & Jerry's flavors. Chocolate Lover's Dream or something like that. It was to die for.

Favorite brand? Love me some Cherry on Top, Cold Stone and Ben & Jerry's.

How do you like it, cone, bowl, shake etc? Bowl.

If cone, waffle or those styrofoamy ones? Eh, a waffle cone is nice every now and then.

Toppings or not? Duh. Love Cherry on Top for their toppings bar.

Soft serve or regular? Both! :slurp:

Gelato? My favorite when it's made right. It's heavenly!

And finally, can you eat it in any weather? Yes. What's up with these seasonal ice cream places? I want ice cream in winter, dang it!

Now I want ice cream. And I gave up desserts for lent. :hammer:

Gelato? I've never actually had it...

Homemade or store bought? My kids and I love to make homemade oreo and my husband adores homemade strawberry.

Favorite flavor? Vanilla

Favorite brand? Breyers

How do you like it, cone, bowl, shake etc? If I'm in Wildwood, in a pretzel cone but usually I like it in a coffee cup.

If cone, waffle or those styrofoamy ones? Sugar cone or pretzel cone--see above!

Toppings or not? No toppings

Soft serve or regular? I do enjoy a good soft serve.

Gelato? Bring it on!

And finally, can you eat it in any weather? Who cares about the weather, bring on the ice cream!

Now here's a thread I can sink my teeth into!

Homemade or store bought? I don't get to have homemade very often. (Bunny...yours is the best!) But store bought works just fine for me. Love Breyers!

Favorite flavor? Good old chocolate still rules. But I also love mint chocolate chip, butter almond and cookies and cream.

Favorite brand? Breyers, for sure. Then Blue Bunny and Edy's.

How do you like it, cone, bowl, shake etc? In a bowl is fine.
But cones are nice, too.

If cone, waffle or those styrofoamy ones? Sugar!

Toppings or not? Jimmies! chocolate ones when I can get them.
And a Ghiradelli's hot fudge sundae rocks my world!

Soft serve or regular? Regular. Soft serve on occasion.

Gelato? Gelato is awesome! Waiting for the snow to melt so I can have a Rita's.

And finally, can you eat it in any weather? Indeed. Prefer it best at WDW, but any weather, any time, any place.

I like to take store bought vanilla ice cream....add about... oh, say 1/5 bottle of chocolate syrup...stir vigorously...until home-made soft serve ! Then top it off with some, whatever happens to be left over, cake. :slurp:

Toppings or not? If it is just vanilla I love caramel on it..but I love caramel on anything..

Soft serve or regular?Both are yummy..but I prefer regular

Gelato?Only had it once and sooo good..so YES!

And finally, can you eat it in any weather?Absolutely..The night we were supposed to leave for Disney but did not I went and got some and ate ..well...ate a lot of it..:lol:

On the first day of Spring the Rita's in Pennsville still does free samples, my kids love that day!
