I should be working/studying/cleaning, but instead I'm on WDWmagic.

8am classes suck. Thankfully it's only once a week for me. But! It's at the barn which is always 10 degrees cooler than the current temp. And it snowed last night. Boo.

Morning!

Got most of my work done, studied for my tests next week (ew), and now it's time to start reading "Myne Ow'ne Ground". The account of freed slaves living in the Chesapeake Bay area in the 1620's. I've read 30 pages so far.
:snore::lol:

Not by any means an exciting part of History.

Thursdays have gone from my least busy days, to right up there with my busiest!

8:30 - 10: Psyc/stats course
10:30 - 11:30: Guard
12:30 - 2:30: Volunteer help elementary kids with reading troubles
WORK
8 - 9: Guard

Yeesh.

Lots of reading to be done, and research for my Soc paper.. Alas, it's Cameron's birthday today and I am stuck here while he goes out and celebrates being halfway to 40.

Bonjovi and Social Psyc time for about 15 minutes. Loveeeee.

I probably should be teaching these students in my classroom. :lookaroun

(I'm seriously on lunch)

Ahahahha. Love it.

I am analyzing things like:

"Je voudrais maintenant vider jusqu'à la lie
Ce calice mêlé de necatar et de fil!
Au fond de cette coupe où je buvais la vie,
Peut-être restait-il quelque goutte de miel?"

BRUTAL ROMATIC ERA POETRY.
I'm becoming thoroughly depressed.

I should be revising for my exam tomorrow on International Politics, and I kind of am: I have a lecture on as background noise in the hope I will subconciously take it in.

I should be doing homework.

But we are making better than $ex cake, brownie style. :slurp:

Shareeeee!

I just called home, Mom was making her famous chocolate chip cookies.

She had a bad day, so I traslated some French poetry for her.. I will share with you guys as well:

"I want to empty to the dregs, this chalice of nectar and venom"

Uplifting.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! :D

Best academic day ever? Yes. History Professor announces impromptu guest speaker at UofMiami tonight, on the Amistade Rebellion and offers anyone a ride with her. Being that I am a poor shmo with no car, I have no other way of getting there, and I really want to see it. So... let the awkward car ride commence! But it wasn't awkward! She's a surprisingly easy person to talk to, though she is so formal in class. And the Lecture was AMAZING. Got to interact with the Professor giving the speech (Can't remember his name, but he was published. Many times. And he had taught at Yale at some point.) Asked a ton of questions and got some very cool answers and pointers on research. Good fodder for a letter of recommendation, too.

So...the History Geek in me is very happy.

Just shut off the computer and go do your things.

Not as easy as it sounds, right? :lookaroun

I leave it on....On WDWM, too.
