I should be working/studying/cleaning, but instead I'm on WDWmagic.

I need to vent about college students.

We are adults. We are in college. In a few short years we will be in the real world. And yet everyone acts like freakin 5 year olds! I'm constantly sitting back watching people act like idiots. There is a group of guys in my math class who think it's funny to shout out answers in high pitch voices. Really? I mean, I like to act silly and have fun...I really don't want to enter the real world just yet. But this stuff is rediculous. It worries me that these people will be working jobs real soon...

Also. Why must college be all about drinking and getting wasted? 90% of the conversations I hear around campus, in class, on the bus, etc are about how they got faced last weekend or are planning to this weekend. I just don't get it. I want to remember my college experience and spend it with friends having fun, not drinking till I puke. I went to Australia last summer where I was legal. I went crazy there and it carried on in the fall semester. We had friends over every weekend and got drunk in the comfort of my own hhome. I was also battling depression and it provided me an escape. But i've recently made the decision to stop and my life has been so much better because of it. those big parties that pop up around campus...people only go to them to hook up or get wasted. I don't see the point of that. It bugs me so much and I'm tired of listening about it on campus.

Glad it's not just "up North" that the guys are like this. That being said, there are a lot of immature people around campus, and you can't do much about them. They will be the people that end up staying for an extra year to finish their degrees.. can't worry about them, they're not worrying about themelves.

Also, I'm sorry that you have to take math.

I mostly agree with this entire thing, but I highlighted the things that I want to comment on =)

I think a lot of the drinking and partying has to do with a sense of freedom and the general uninhibited nature of university/college life. Plus, when else in your life are you going to be around all these people the same age as you? Neva. You gotta make the best of it! And for most, the best of it comes in the form of having a timeee on weekends. I don't drink, never have, partly because it's the way I was raised, but mostly because no one's ever given me a solid reason to drink. I'm fine with others drinking around me, and drinking in general, as long as they're doing it because they want to and not because they feel pressured into it. I want to remember my time with my friends, too. Plus, I'd totes be a crier.. and I cry enough anyway ;) I'm glad that you're doing better, feeling better. Finding your way out of the darkness is always a great feeling. And, with that, I thank you for your Pslams FB status yesterday, because I was having a meltdown.

Love ya, girl.

Oh no, you will find plenty of immature guys here too. I'm not distressed about the whole thing, I just needed to vent.

no worries. now that I'm a business major, math is my life. Good thing I'm good at it!

You make valid points. Not gonna argue with them! I think part of my thinking is that I hate being somewhere where I don't know anyone. So I like to stick with my friends and do other things.

And I'm glad the verse helped. :) my dad texted it to me yesterday because my life has blown up again. It makes mr happy knowing that it helped someone else too... :) hope you are okay now.

love you!

Worst idea ever.
i realize that now. That's why I started getting those rediculous meltdowns. Those didn't happen in Aussie. And they'll stop once I get outta here.

Snow?! Ewww.

It's been pouring rain and chilly for the past few days. Terrible, after two weeks of springlike weather and sun.

I suppose it could be argued that rain is spring-like, btu I'm not a fan.

Trying to find pix for my personality project. This blows.

Rain is good, for a while. But definitely not at the end of winter when all we want is SUN.

What pics are you needing? :)

An eight-page research paper, with an annotative bibliography and at least six sources. I am beyond ebullience.

Fortunately, that Mythology term paper has been pushed back until April 5th. Gives me more time to worry & type it out. :D

Now, about that Budget project of mine...
Papers....projects....OY! :dazzle:

Best of luck to you! We are in the final stretch before summer. Gotta bust it all out and soon it will be over! :D

91% complete with my Budget project. Last I check, I still am a thrifty enough person to have about $170 left for personal use.
Nice!

Well, excuse us!

:p
Not talking about my Magic guys. They are all amazing. :D

Heh...

I loves my sunny and breezy Florida weather. :lookaroun
I miss year round warm weather.

Does she play any reggae? I know that snow and reggae music just blends perfectly...

Or does that only work here?
Perfectly, yes. :rolleyes::lol:

We will get to reggae eventually.

It's all good. I have all of SB next week to finalize my Mythology paper, and I have more time with scholarship stuff. :)
That's good to hear. :)

When does summer start for you?
May 14th. AKA when I get my freedom and life back. Can't wait to move back home!

This. Like I have stated many several times already, I don't drink. There's other fun things to do besides being intoxicated while killing your school-laden brain cells with a "friend" who winds up "borrowing" your car.

I feel like this is somewhat an overgeneralization. It was exactly how I used to view drinking as well, but really, it's all about surrounding yourself with the proper people (and really, what isn't?), as well as knowing what your limits are.

I would never think about drinking with people I didn't know, or even with people I didn't know very well. Whenever I do, it's always with really close friends who I trust and know I can trust. And I try not to go so far as to kill brain cells  But sometimes it's hard to tell... :lookaroun
