I should be working/studying/cleaning, but instead I'm on WDWmagic.

Maybe Evan "The Magician" can do a trick.:lookaroun

This reminded me of that thing.. Magical Trevor?

"Everyone loves, Magical Trevor,
The tricks taht he does are ever-so clever,
Look at him now, disappearing a cow.."

Aahah. Love life.

Do I look like a chess pawn to play with? A dog that can be kicked around? :(

Course not, I just knew someone would respond to my plea

How is your pr0n, er, Gender Relations class anyway?

Do not even get me STARTED on Gender Relations. Sociology is a useless area of study. There's all this "sociological thinking" with no way to prove it, so they turn to Social Psychologists to do their dirty work.. Dumb, dumb, dumb. And then that stupid feminist woman who makes us read all this stuff that makes you feel SO BAD about yourself. Like self-objectification. That's what I'm writing my research assignment on. Who REALLY wants to study that? I mean, yes, it's interesting that people are so obsessed with how they appear to others that they cna't concentrate on "complex cognitive tasks".. but do I need to know that? Not really. Nor do I need to read an entire book about how males in 'Guyland' are basically willing to do anything (including gang r*pe, group watching, objectification of women, and failure to communicate and/or commit to a relationship until the tender age of THIRTY) to play video games, hook up, and slack through life until absolutely necessary, and how girls live in Guyland and, therefore, are forced to play by their rules and need to choose to be labelled as A) a 'babe', objectifying yourself and being promiscuous, or B) a 'b*tch', dressing how you want, and generally asserting yourself by saying NO. F*ck you too, Kimmel.

There ya go. That was my day.

Secondly: It is only one semester, and that it is technically just different humanistic perspectives, right? Think that it's almost over, and that you would never have to read Guyland or heed your instructor's demands afterwards. Ever again. And assuming it is a required course for your Psych. major, just keep your focus on your career, and don't give up. Yes, that book is stereotypical, but in some ways, impractical. It's just an book, not the official Psych Bible. :)

Different perspectives, yes, but it makes a person painfully aware of how biased the world can be. And, while it's only one semester, Sociology is one of my minors (looks good paired with Psyc, since French will do nothing for me other than be beneficial in government and/or bilingual job opportunities). I just need to avoid the prof. Such a painful three hours/week.

Can't wait to pick my Psyc courses, though. Love Psyc.

What is it that you are planning on taking?

(PS: Heading to bed after watching an episode of Castle online, but I'll catcha tomorrow!)

Makes sense. :)

I plan to major in Health/Clinical Sciences, so science classes are in my range. This may include Sociology, so your POV helps quite a bit...

Was laying in bed and came up with a solid paragraph for my paper.. and a couple transition sentences. Didn't want to lose them, and can't sleep, so here I am wayyy past my bedtime (and it's only 12AM here, I'm such a cool kid).

There's nothing wrong with Soc.. really. Some people LOVE it. I just feel like it's a lot of common sense, and giving profs what they want to hear. I didn't go to about half my lectures in Intro Soc, and still came out with an A.. so that should tell you something, haha. We're also a liberal arts school, so it's not like we've got an overly slack department.

Morning everyonee! This is the earliest up i've been up in a while:lookaroun

On break?

I was up at 7:30 :(
But it's a beautiful day, it's a Friday, and there's the potential for a midnight movie tonight downtown (The Blind Side). Also, tomorrow is the ASCARS, the campus awards, which means dressing up, and my parents mayyyy be driving straight here after they land to see my for my birthday on Sunday!

I also have 400 words of a paper done that is due on Wednesday, with the goal of 1000 tonight.

Gotta be happy.

Pluto, love your avatar. That video alone made me realize how much I should be loving Lady Gaga.

I actually just listened to that song on the radio. I'm in a real big top 40 hits mood.

"Stacks on deck, Patron on ice..."

God, this is like my guilty pleasure.

Now it's playing Boys Like Girls and T Swift... "Two is Better than One." Love this song. Slash Tay.

Going to see Tay on July 10th in PEI. Yayyaa. Dad paid for my ticket because I have to take the sis (as they will be out West). I feel like I got the good end of the deal

Working on my Soc paper.. 1061 words! Whutttt. Lovin' it.
