Trip Report "I Know More About Disney Than You Two"

Hello!! Hello!! I'm heading back to the world in 16 days so my goal is to get this TR done before I go. I know, you probably don't have much faith in me--neither do I, frankly. But, "If you can dream it, you can do it", right? ;)

THE TITLE:
The reason for our trip was b/c E wanted to be there on her birthday!! This would actually be the 2nd time she's been in Disney for it. So, obviously all along I figured that the title would have something to do with it. You know, "The Birthday Trip" or something original like that.🤣 I've mentioned in the past that I normally wait though until the end of the trip to decide what the title should be. On day 2 J made a comment to his mother & I that in our wildest dreams we couldn't have been prepared for. Right then & there E's birthday TR title was totally tossed from my mind & a new title was born!!

As we were walking to the bus we were discussing what we were going to do that afternoon before our Olivia's dinner reservation. J kept trying to interrupt us. E told him it's rude to interrupt & he has to wait his turn. He tried to interject a few more times but she basically ignored him. As we continued to walk & walk we realized that we couldn't find our bus stop. Finally J blurts out, "That's what I've been trying to tell you. We're walking the wrong way!!" Now, in all fairness Riverside was always the first stop on the far left(Bus Gates 1-9). The last time we were at AK we had stayed at Saratoga Springs which is #6. So, we've always walked that way so I guess we didn't even think to look at the sign. We felt a little foolish but what can you do? We turned around & headed back to the sign to see where we should be going(which J had obviously had the sense to look at unlike ourselves).

We got to the sign & saw where we needed to go. J looked at the sign, shook his head & walked away as if he was totally embarrassed of us.
And that's when he said it, "I know more about Disney than you two"

For a few seconds neither E or I could speak. We were dumbfounded. Finally she looks at me and says, "Did he really just say that to us?" We lost it then!! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!!

With J leading the way we finally got to the right stop!!

This made me laugh. One of my sister's had 2 goats. A few years ago both of them somehow managed to make it onto the roof of her house!!

The picture you don't know why you took is the painted dogs or whatever they are called. You can see them tucked back in the shadow of the rocks. They are hard to see, but they are there.

Definitely!! We liked it so much(it really has an awesome atmosphere to it also) that we have a breakfast reservation this month & a dinner one again in August!!

I wonder what would have made me take a picture of them?? I don't like them in the least!!

Our server brought us out some rolls to start with. Notice that look on J's face? He was intently eyeing something.....

A bird!! We all know my fear of birds. And I felt like this one was teasing me. It swooped around the whole time we were there!!

E & I each had a few glasses of wine. In hindsight it would have been cheaper if we had ordered a bottle!!

Remember that cake I ordered that morning?? When our server first came to us he asked who was celebrating a birthday. Great--we're all good to go then with the cake, right? Wrong:( He never brought one out. I was going to say something but J was looking at the dessert menu & at that point I figured I'd just forget about it.

He chose the Banana Bread Pudding Sundae. E & I both had a few bites and it was so good!!

After we finished our meals I hit the restroom. Very nice & clean!

With that we headed back to the room. J was clowning around the whole way back!!

I am at the World right now. I passed Riverside yesterday on the bus and thought of Riverside. Then I heard the good news today! Hopefully they bring Yeehaw Bob back!!!

I have not been spending much time on the boards, being from the UK it's somewhat depressing having to cancel and not know when we will make it back! We always stay at OKW we love it the 1BR villa's are so big and it is a beautiful resort, taking the boat to Disney springs is so relaxing. J cracks me up.

Funny--we ate breakfast at Olivia's yesterday. On our next trip(in 20 days!!) our first meal is going to be there for dinner!!

We are going at the end of October but there is 5 of us & we are already booked for a 2 bedroom at Saratoga so we are going to keep that. But---you know we'll be making a visit there for sure!!
