I got press!

I do agree that it should have the most up to date information, but ticket prices are something that you don't need to buy a guide book to find out, and are easy to find on the internet or by calling Disney.
It still would be nice info to have, but like lentesta said, most people expect that things like pricing may change frequently.

Electronic copy.

Hello,

I would like to get my first copy of this book. It sounds interesting. But, I'd need an electronic or audio copy. I can't read printed books because I'm visually impaired. Where would I find the electronic version?

It's not just ticket prices, though. It's also the dining plan.

Someone totally unfamiliar with Disney who may be planning his first trip might read the 2008 Unofficial Guide and see that it says the Dining plan includes tip and appetizer. He signs up for the dining plan and when he gets down there next year, suprise, suprise, he has to pay the tip and appetizer out of pocket. Maybe there's reasons beyond their control for why the MUST take the book to press when they do, but it just seems to me that stuff like room rates, dining plan info, and the amount of water parks and more visits should all be accurate.

On another note, I just filled out my survey at the back of the book and am fixing to mail it in tommorrow, and I put on there that I use this site and the screen name I post under. So Len...keep an eye out for it! :D

It's slightly frustrating that some things change after they've gone to press, but many things can not be helped. The dining plan change for instance. There were rumors but certainly nothing that could have been guaranteed enough to print it.

The Unofficial Guide is very clear in the book that you check their website for changes and updates. The updates are very user friendly with the page numbers. I usually take about 10-15 minutes every time I get a new one to make the changes in my book.

I LOVE the Unofficial Guide!! I just ordered 2008 from Amazon.

OIC - I guess I didn't realize that part of it as well. I can see how that might throw someone off who is planning a vacation.
I didn't get to Borders yesterday, but I hope to go today and pick one up. I just hope it is there or I will be really disappointed. I like to give Borders my business.

I'd like to stand up and recogunize Len and his crew and the outstanding job his crew does at keeping the most up-to-date information you can have for a resort who's constantly changing.

They do a great job each and every year with every edition that comes out and are constantly revising it. And i'm just impressed as hell at the toruing plans... although I'm not sure i have the patience to beta test any of them.

So Len, great job as always.

Now about licensing my photos for next year.... j/k

I totally agree with you there - coordinating the book with his website gives the most up-to date information of any of the books out there.

I'm alittle disappointed I pre-ordered my 2008 edition though Amazon and received an e-mail today saying my order was delayed becasue the release date was changed. This frustrating since it seemes many people already own the book. My current earliest date to receive it through amazon is Sept. 7

So, we're leaving for WDW in exactly 22 hours now. Lst night, DW checks the bookstore and finds The Unofficial Guide for 2008 on the shelf, so she bought a copy. When she came home, we immediately start flipping through the book. The FIRST page I happened to open up to was about the dining plan (page 201), and low and behold, they quoted my reader survey response from 2006!

I've finally recieved my literary recognition. Does this mean I can put on my resume that I've been published?
I guess I'll have to skip that page so I don't have to pay you a royalty, and my wife is chomping at the bit to go out and buy it too.

That is so weird! There were a ton of them in the travel section at my Barnes and Noble! Wonder why Amazon is so delayed?
