Also the medium and heavy traffic on the right of the map is a COMMON every day nightmare.Traffic is normal at the moment (you know bad but not unexpectedly bad.)
I would evacuate into Georgia though, not Orlando.View attachment 819528

I watched the newscast. People living on the barrier islands and areas that flooded in Helene have a mandatory evacuation order. But not all people living in those counties are under that order.Hillsborough, Sarasota, and Hernando Counties have issued MANDATORY evacuation orders already so far. I’d expect others to follow.
Thank you. As I said, not everyone in those counties is under the mandatory evacuation order - just those in certain zones. But it will still be unpleasant for those in other zones who stay, so many people will be evacuating by choice.Evacuation orders can be found here. https://www.floridadisaster.org/evacuation-orders/
If you don't know your evacuation zone, that can be found here. https://www.floridadisaster.org/Know
As many college folk can attest, the stretch between Ocala and the Turnpike is one of the most maddening roadways in the state. Also the medium and heavy traffic on the right of the map is a COMMON every day nightmare.
