Worse than Bonnie, Charley, and Andrew? Get lost.
Notice he said Central Florida?

Exactly. I would almost take my chances in the trees rather than have to park in a open parking lot at one of the other resorts with possibly 100 MPH gusts. Hopefully people went West to get away.Lots of trees can fall at FW and campers can roll in strong winds.
When do you guys think it would be okay to drive in to Florida after this hits? Do you think the evacuation traffic would be cleared up going back to Florida by Sunday?
Charley plowed right through central Florida.Notice he said Central Florida?
Seriously?? I just cant...............MarieThey've been relocated earlier today. The resort closed by 11 this morning. Someone was whining in the thread earlier about being moved to the All Stars, they wanted the Grand Fla and was told no.
Sunday will probably be heavy, and if there is widespread damage and power outages, you may have trouble. When do you guys think it would be okay to drive in to Florida after this hits? Do you think the evacuation traffic would be cleared up going back to Florida by Sunday?
Interstates will clear first. State Highways second and so forth..When do you guys think it would be okay to drive in to Florida after this hits? Do you think the evacuation traffic would be cleared up going back to Florida by Sunday?

You won't know until the storm hits. There's still too many variables. When do you guys think it would be okay to drive in to Florida after this hits? Do you think the evacuation traffic would be cleared up going back to Florida by Sunday?
145-150 mph winds in Orlando with the latest computer model?
Charley plowed right through central Florida.

I believe that's referring to the forecast/prediction, since he mentioned "model".Would you be able to point me to that? I've only seen gusts to 105 in the WDW area

That sucks....My local forecast (15 minutes north of WDW) calls for Cat 1 sustained winds
And wind gusts as it passed through Orlando were about 106 mph. Matthew is expected to be higher.
The actual statement is the largest hurricane to hit the EAST coast of Florida, not Central Florida specifically.Charley plowed right through central Florida.
