We will find out in a couple of hours if we are going to under a mandatory evacuation. I am so nervous I could just cry. Time to go pack valuables and wait. School is closed tomarrow until further notice. This tells me we might be leaving Wednesday and I have no idea where to go. The Interstates are going to be packed. Backroads here we come!

Debbie, if it weren't for the fact that it's so far, and I-10 will be packed, I'd tell you to keep on driving until you got here! (In talking to people who evacuated in the past, the goal is to be far enough away to be safe, but close enough to get back home quickly.)

I'll be praying for you, and everyone in the path of this storm. :(

I live in Beaumont, Tx between Houston and Lake Charles, La. We are under a Hurricane watch here, and we are just west of the center of the forecasted track of the storm. All we can do is wait, hope, and pray, and we'll do just that.

Debbie, I just saw the weather channel and I'm so sorry it's coming your way again. This has to be very nervewracking. I will keep you in my thoughts again, and I'll be hoping that Lilly misses you. You take care,

Hi Debbie, Take Care of you and yours and keep us all posted.

I'll make my decision sometime tomorrow about evacuating. I think we'll be OK here in New Orleans, though. Hope so...

Take care.

We are under hurricane alert too... once again! I hope it doesn´t hit any of us again... that would be just bad... :(

I hope you don´t have to leave your house, but if you do, don´t forget your important documents!

I´m praying this new one just dies in the ocean....

It doesn't seem like it will pass directly over you Maria. Lets hope it only gives you minor rain and thunder :(..

I hate to see you in the path of the storm again.

Thank God that Arkansas missed most of Isador so my family could finish rice harvest. Too bad it looks like Arkansas is going to get drenched by Lili just in time for bean harvest. Hopefully it won't ruin a lot of the crop.

I hope so! It looked the same with Isidore, so we are worried and keeping our fingers crossed!

*battons down the hatches and other such terms*

We're gonna get rained on! *points to an approaching rain band*

Anyone ever see NRG falls? The sloped design of the building seemed nifty till the first major downpour ;)

So, is everyone getting ready for their respective hurricane parties?

Not much chance of that. Once they get into the Gulf, they always make landfall...somewhere.:lookaroun

Evacuations for the following Parishes in La and Counties in Tx....Cameron, Vermillion, and Plaquemines Parishes and Jefferson and Orange Counties. I live in Jefferson County, Tx., so I'm leaving in a few hours. The evacuation in Cameron Parish is mandatory, all other evacuations are voluntary. If I've missed any counties or parishes, my apologies, but that's all I know for sure right now...Good luck everyone.

I'm out of school again. This time because of Lili. I also live in LA. Lafayette to be exact. It was a catogory 2 this morning Around ten I watched the weater again and it was Catogory 3, and I just watched it again and now it is a catogory 4 hurricane. I think my aunt and grandma from Berwick are comming down here since they had to evacuate.

I am watching TWC again, and it did say it is a Category 4 right now. Debbie, i'm very very worried that you all didn't evacuate. It looks like this storm is getting worse :(

To everyone in this storms path, please take care and let us know how you are as soon as you can.

I don't think it is hitting lafayette directly but we should still be affected by it. My dad has boarded up the windows.

They keep mentioning Lafayette, and this is a pretty big storm too. Please be careful!
