I just got power back last night. Across the street from my house is a valley where a bunch of trees fell ontop the power lines. The house behind mine had 3 trees through it and another house had one tree in it. No trees in my house are in my yard though. Next to my room there is a big pecan tree that belongs to my neigbors which looks like it almost fell. Only a big branch fell. If the tree would have fallen it would have gone through my room. My other neigbor had a tree fall across there driveway, so after the storm we all went outside to try to move the tree. All our yards were very messed up. So my neigbor went get his tractor from his camp and cleared the streets, while my other neigbor went get people from the shelter to help clean yards. So all my neigbors, me and my folks, and the people went from yard to yard heleping to clean yards. We stayed on the front porch for most of the storm though. I wish my video camra would have been charged. That storm was only a catogort 2, I would hate to see what a 4 would have been like.

Yeah, Walt148...I think someone "up there" was looking out for us, for the storm to go from catagory 4 to 2, just before landfall.
Hope hurricane season is over NOW.
