Waking up at Grand Floridian and from our room, we see minimal damage. Nothing that a broom and a brush clipper can't take care of. We have been asked to stay in our rooms (not resort, our rooms) until given clearance on Channel 3. Guessing they don't want folks roaming the resort until they've completed a damage assessment.

Last night was interesting. We were originally told bars/restaurants would stay open until 10pm, and then around 8:15 we suddenly received "We are now closed, please return to your rooms immediately. Thank you."

Agreed. Especially considering you did the right thing and rescheduled your trip! Appreciate the updates from inside WDW but kind of ironic that someone who didn't cancel their trip because they didn't want to miss out on Disney is calling you out for being sad about rescheduling. Your spring trip will be great, and we are all so thankful things weren't as bad as expected in central Florida.

I wasn't a dick about it. I said it was fine to feel sad- heck, I would- but just to keep things in perspective right now- considering the storm was still ongoing and there's lots of locals on this board. It wasn't an unwarranted feeling, it just wasn't the right time and place. Let people wake up and see if they have power or windows first, right? Is that unreasonable?

I was also supposed to be out of here but flights got pushed back and I'm delayed 3 nights here. My biggest worry is my kid missing school and stuck here. But I also realize that is trivial in the scope of what is going on.
So to summarize, yes, be sad. But is it so hard to post about it tomorrow?
Can we drop it please, it's all water under the bridge now anyways. @PhilliesPhan93 is a good guy and it's all fine and well now.

I know @marni1971 and @TheGhostWithTheMost had already touched on it, but seriously don't expect Jungke Cruise up within the next few days. Based on what I know, I personally expect MK and Epcot to definitely be open. I'd give HS a 60% of opening on time, and AK a 20%. Most likely, a delayed opening for DHS and a Wed or Thurs for DAK, with certain chunks of Bradley Falls (or whatever they call it now, Caravan Road?), and possibly the trails/ Safari closed. As for certain other parks. It sounds like all ORL Waterparks won't be up tomorrow, with a possible exception, but all Wizard based parks should be fine for Tues. Still haven't heard on Seaworld.

I still haven't changed plans or cancelled my trip for arrival on 9/16. I'm ready to be flexible.

I can imagine Jungle Cruise to be a mess, did they drain the water way prior to the storm? I also wonder if they removed or brought inside any of the static or basic AA figures.

I’m very glad to see the hurricane has passed. Thank you to everyone on this site who reported from their resorts - your stories made me feel a lot better.

My flight is still scheduled for tomorrow, according to Virgin. Waiting to see what MCO says. I’d love to be at Disney tomorrow, so I’ve got my fingers crossed.

Thanks to @andysol for giving us a look at MK this morning

I never thought there would come a time where the entrance to MK would look anything but exciting and welcoming, but...there it is. Kinda creepy in a post-apocalyptic way. As @andysol mentioned earlier, a horde of zombies pouring out from under the train station would not have looked out of place.

Yeah, but the bend to the left is just weird perspective as it wraps around SSE. We'd probably hear if it was severely damaged already.

Was the monorail damaged during Charlie? I can't remember what damage Disney had at that time. I thought they opened up relatively quickly just after though, so I'd assume after this storm they will be back fairly fast.
