km/h). A River, Estuary, and Coastal Network station at Redfish
Pass, Florida, recently reported a pressure of 942 mb (27.81
inches).

For Florida’s sake hopefully the rest of the hurricane season will stay quiet like most of the season has been….until now.

I believe this time (late September and early October) is peak Hurricane season.
We’ve passed the absolute peak point of hurricane season and are on the downward side, but that doesn’t mean you won’t still see activity through the end of November.

The hope now is that, as fronts start to move through the South, that helps to cool the Gulf waters and steer storms away from the Gulf.

Yes. Late season is typically the time for storms that go up the Atlantic coast and get scooped up by cold fronts, sometimes hitting land on the journey north. Ten years ago, that was Hurricane Sandy for us. Canceled Halloween in CT so we called it the Frankenstorm.
