Oh god. Give it up! They are clearly releasing the updates and you are still complaining.
Yeah, I complain. This is incompetence.

If a duster and shill like me is calling them out, you know it's gotta be awful.

People wondering what's happening don't start following Disney Parks on Twitter. They go to WDW's website where they see:

And that's the link to the page without the park closure info.

It's unacceptable. It's incompetent. It should have been the first place on the internet they updated. Because its where most quests would look.

So, keep telling me to give it up. Or you can give up telling me to give it up.

Wording they've had days to get figured out. There is no excuse for this dismal roll out of comms.
It's the same reason why it takes 2 years to figure on what type of floor tiles the new Epcot bathrooms are getting.

Forget the guests, for the sake of the CM who need to worry about their homes and family, a decision should have been made at least 24 hours earlier.

The cynic in me would say that would mean Disney World potentially loosing out on 24 hours of revenue.

Agreed, it isn't good enough. I constantly hear from leaders that comms inside the company is at an all time low. Left doesn't know what right is doing on anything.

It does look silly to announce they're closing but link to a page that says the water parks are closing but the theme parks are still open. There's a failure somewhere along the line in corporate messaging there.

Especially since it's been 15+ minutes now and they still haven't updated the linked information.

I always get the feeling that the Zach Ridley's spontaneous commentary on the Instagram is heavily crafted and edited....

That's what it feels like -- that one part of the communications department said "Okay this tweet is ready to go, let's send it" without conferring with other parts to make sure everything was aligned.

As someone whose job often includes digging through corporate messaging planning, that's not how most large corporations typically operate (admittedly Disney Parks typically issue many more public statements than most regular corporations due to the nature of the business).
