Adults also are required to staff the parks, and there are a lot of coercive factors in hourly wage employment that would have cast members putting themselves in danger even if they know they should not. Parks don't run on pixie dust.
Oh, I thought they did run on pixie dust. My bad. Neither Disney nor Universal put anybody in any danger.

Disney's always the last to know. Right now on their site...

It tells me that people without hurricane experience are relying on those that do for guidance. And when the social media accounts are saying, there are no closure plans, people believe them.

50% true, we are taking a Disney cruise to Enseneda Mexico and there’s currently a travel warning there… as a first time cruiser and first time visitor to Mexico I’m watching what DCL does but have also changed our excursion plans already on my own, I’m not going to just assume it’s safe to jump on a bus and travel away from the port just because Disney didn’t tell me not to.

As the experts in the area Disney has a bit of responsibility but ultimately it our own decision to watch out for ourselves.

The massive number of things that need to be updated for something like this is why it takes them so long. You've seen announcements about their closure online but they still need to update countless platforms to get the updated data published through every channel. It still takes a little time once the office decision is made and language is agreed.
