About an exchange of views on a internet thread, ahh if that was the bain of my life. Theres nothing quite like a good rant about inconsequential things

I like the idea of having all the m&g's in one area, a la Mickey's ToonTown Fair. MTTF is the best location since it is geared towards the little ones. Seems like there are always characters doing m&g's in the most congested areas of the park, and it's near impossible to get through.

The location and configuration of the old 20K attraction seems perfect for a Little Mermaid dark ride, perhaps using the same ride system but with updated vehicles and theming. It would be a shame to just fill in the lagoon with more hot pavement.

They are from a French fan site describing what the rides for Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast were going to be like.
(the Mermaid story was 3 parts)

These were rides that were designed for Disneyland Paris but for different reasons (B&B because of capacity issues, Lil Mermaid because of money issues) they were never built.
B&B was to be a AA show with dark ride elements built into the theatre, Lil Mermaid was a very cool Darkride. Both were quite elaborate and really fun sounding.

Read the articles, they are quite well done, but keep in mind I believe the writer is french and his english is a little off in places.

The second link is some concepts for the rides shown during the opening celebrations for Disneyland Paris

I second that...they better do something interesting with that area....the Little Mermaid ride and the B and the B show would both fit into 20 K.

The wet/dry technology sounds like a winner to me...it would keep the maintenance down, compare to 20 K.

Attendance is up..it's time to do something like this at WDW.

I have heard that Disney would like to retire the Little Mermaid show at MGM...believe it or not, that show is extremely expensive to operate. Having a Little Mermaid dark ride on par with what is described here would be a worthy replacement!

Ok, now I understand them. Thankyou.

I am neutral on the issue of a playground being added in the 20K League Lagoon area, but I think this could work out for Disney. As others have said Pooh and friends are extremely popular. But, playgrounds at Disney seem just as popular with the little folks as any ride. When I took my 7-year-old niece and 5-year-old nephew to WDW they seemed more interested in The Boneyard and HISTK playgrounds than any of the rides. And judging from the number of kids in each of the playgrounds many of the other kids felt the same way. Plus it gives the parents some time to rest while their kids blow off some of the infinite energy they seem to have.

On a different note, someone on this thread mentioned that they didn't do enough with Mickey in the Parks and I somewhat agree. Personally, I would like to see show or maybe even a character dining/ dinner show type of thing modeled after The House of Mouse starring Mickey. I think that would be really cool.

ooh, I agree with that, although I loved Mickey's Philharmagic, I was pretty peeved that Donald walked away with the show.
I like the idea of having the House of Mouse, that could be cool.
I would also like to see a dark ride based on Mickey...it's about time....

I'm happy Donald has his own show because the show is cute...and plus, Mickey has Fantasmic, so huh! All joking aside, I liked the idea of a dark ride of Mickey's cartoons over the years with Steamboat Willie and maybe The Brave Little Tailor, etc. But don't knock DONALD's Philarmagic :D

Although I'm not excited at all about another meet and greet, I just thought of something that might be cool.

What if there was a nicely themed 100 acre woods that you enter by pooh that morphed into a dark forest that leads into a villans type area? Wouldn't it be sweet to see the trees get creepier and darker and then you find yourself face to "mountain" face with bald mountain or some other type of cool villains based attraction??

what do you think?

Ooooohhhh!!! The Little Mermaid and Beauty & the Beast attractions sounded so cool. I would love to see one or even both of them become reality someday. Same goes for a villan-themed attraction. That would rock 10 ways to Sunday!
