People weren't ready, prepared, whatever. They thought they'd be fine...nope. So yeah.

Connor, to answer your question, you can read my opinion on it on my LJ that I linked to below. What I can add is yes people had a week to prepare. But we're so numbed by these hurricanes coming every week that people don't take them seriously anymore. So when it came in as a 3 instead of a 2 or 1, it gave these people a real shock. But my mom made sure we were better prepared than most :lol:

You guys don't get bothered Cat. 1 or 2 hurricanes, but we run out and but 20 cases of water if they predict 3 inches of snow.:lol:
