Rainy Saturday *huggles*

Got science and geog. projects :(

At least I'm almost done the geography one... I mentioned "Soarin' Over Canada" a few (make that a lot of) pages back, all I have to do is make up dialogue for the other half of the presentation (non-Soarin').

I was getting out Halloween books for my mom's 2nd grade class, and in the same box, what do you know, was my Christmas CDs!!! How could I resist, I had to listen to them! Silver Bells is just starting. :xmas:

I suck at NHL 06.

My record so far is like 2-10. I have it at a high difficulty setting though, I want the challenge. Although a lot of it is really lifelike, there's one thing that really bothers me. The computer can get shots off that no human could possibly make. There are several times where someone is standing in front of the net. I know the puck is going to him. I cover him. I'm even roughing him up and whacking my stick into his face, and yet he still stays on his feet and gets the shot off. How?! I'm hitting you in the face with my stick! :brick:  :lookaroun

Not nice, Brad. :p

In my experience, playing sports games at the highest difficulty setting basically means "We're going to beat you by making impossible plays whenever we need to."

they are the only winless team......

of course, my Red Wings are 7-1:D
Of course, under the arcane NHL overtime rules, they still have 4 points in the standings despite being winless. Lose enough games in overtime and they might be able to squeeze into the playoffs! Gotta love the NHL.

yeah....if you lost EVERY game of the season in OT......you would probably make the playoffs

I just hate having three columns in the W-L standings, when they're all either wins or losses. W-L-T was OK, but W-L-OL just seems unnatural. I think if they're going to eliminate ties, they should just eliminate the points races and base it on winning percentage.

The kid in the stroller is looking at you with fascination, but one gets the impression the parents are going "don't make eye contact...keep moving"
