OOhhh, here's hoping you don't have to go to work today.
The roads are crazy. On my way to work I was almost hit 3 times and two times was by a semi truck (same truck).

Hump day *huggles*

Unfortunately, I did. :( I got out of one set when it started raining, though. Just a drizzle, but Shamu's so hard to clean that they pulled me inside two minutes into the set. :p

Speck stays at the Vet office....I used to have a friend stay and watch her, but with her health not being great the last few weeks, I think the vet is the best place for her.

What's wrong with speck?

She is better now, but I still felt better with the Vet watching her, in case something else happened.

She had Pancreatitis, and was on antibiotics until jsut before I left......in casethe antibiotics did not do the trick, I wanted her to be in good care.....and if something happened to her, I would rather her be at the Vet, and not under the responsibility of a friend.....I would not want to put either of them through that.

The vet was the best place for her to be. Is she in pain? :(

She was a few weeks ago....she is better now......

She is sleeping in my spot on the bed right now.....she must be happy to be home. I, on the other hand, can not sleep, so, I guess her sleeping there is ok.... (yes, I sleep on the left side of the bed, she sleeps on the right side, or, unfortunately, in the middle)

:) Glad she's fine. How's her appetite? My uncle's dog had the same problem and she couldn't eat.
When I had my dog she would take up all the room on my bed, so much that sometimes I would wake up on the floor. She was so tiny and yet managed to take up most of the bed space.

She was not eating a lot before my trip, but she ate a ton at the Vet, which is a good sign......she ate tonight too, her whole bowl.

I have a queen-size bed.....she is only 35lbs, but manages to sleep sideways, leaving me as little space as possible.

Leaving you as little space as possible...it's as if you're married already

no kidding.....on top of that, the times that I have been in relationships, I have had to do some apologizing and explaining on "Why must Speck sleep between us"

It normally went something like this: "Ok.....I have had Speck for 7 years.....you, I have known for a few days/weeks/months.....we are a package deal, you take me, you take the dog"

sometimes I wonder why I am not more successful with relationships.

There's no getting between a man and his dog :D.
I hope speck isn't a jealous dog. I've seen that, boy have I seen that.

Not jealous....protective. She will "stand guard" by me until she is comfortable with whoever else is around....

I feed her, so she protects me, as protecting me, protects her.

I wish that were true for all dogs. When I was living with my parents a burglar broke into our house while everyone was out, except my sister. My sis saw our dog hide behind the couch until the burglar left. When the cops arrived Lady (our dog) poked her head out slowly, barked and attacked the cop's leg. I guess she felt she had to prove her worthiness by attacking someone when it was safe.
