Ok guys, I am turning to you for some help. Friend of mine is getting married and he and his wife want to use some sort of music from Disney, either a movie or attraction during their reception. They want to use it either for the introduction of the bride and groom, cake cutting, or first dance.

Only suggestion I came up with that got a possibility was using "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" for the intro.

So my question to you is what would you use and where would you use it.

How about The Sleeping Beauty Waltz? Because it's actually a piece of classical music, it's in the public domain.

We used "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from the Lion King for our last dance.

Other good ones:

"So This is Love" Cinderella
"A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" Cinderella
"A Whole New World" Aladdin
"When You Wish Upon A Star" Pinocchio
"Kiss the Girl" Little Mermaid
"Once Upon a Dream" Sleeping Beauty
"You'll Be in My Heart" Tarzan

Disney put out a instrumental album specifically with weddings in mind Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, which may be the perfect thing you are looking for. The following songs are on it:

Beauty and the Beast-Beauty and the Beast
Some Day My Prince will Come-Snow White
If I never Knew you.-Pocahontas (Personally, this is a great wedding song)
So this is love-Cinderella
Bella Notte-Lady and the Tramp
Love is a Song-Bambi
Can you Feel the love tonight-The Liok King
A Dream is a Wish Your heart Makes-Cinderella
A Whole New World-Aladdin
Endless Night-The Lion King Broadway.
Part of your World-The Little Mermaid
Something There-Beauty and The Beast
Lavender Blue-So Dear to my Heart
When you Wish Upon a Star-Pinocchio

I saw a good one on youtube a while back. For the best man's introduction they used Friend Like Me. That was pretty cool.

Our first dance was "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." Our DJ also went out and bought a Disney Pop album and played almost the whole CD throughout the night (he actually came over and showed us the CD and asked if we'd mind! ) DH wore a Mickey Mouse vest w/ his Tux, we had the cake toppers, our invitations were Mickey and Minnie...Would we mind?! It was great!

Jim Brickman does a mostly instrumental piano CD that's really pretty:

This is the Pop Album, released less than a month before we were married...

My wife and I used Promise as our song for our first dance at our wedding 4 years ago. Everyone loved it and it was a perfect song I highly recommend it.:sohappy:

When my wife and I got married last summer, as we kissed we had an edited version of the Transformation music from BatB play, starting from their kiss moment, (in the film that part of the cue is when the doves fly across the screen). It's a lovely horn fanfare, which is very march-like and triumphant.
We marched back down the aisle together to it and timed it so we were just out the doors when the music swells into the familiar BatB song. I was very gratified that the audience got the joke immediately. It worked on a couple of levels.

But, if anyone else calls my wife a beast, I'll rip their lungs out :drevil:

For my daughter's wedding my brother was DJ for us. When it was time to introduce the wedding party he played, "Please stand clear of the doors, por favor mantengense allejando de las puertas". It set the mood just right.

My wife and I had the Tower of Terror queue music playing during our reception. It was an inside joke, and it worked well in our atmosphere. Good luck!

My wife and I did the following at our reception:

Grand March - "When You Wish Upon a Star"
Couples Dance - "Beauty and the Beast", "A Whole New World", and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight"
Mother/Son Dance - "You'll Be in My Heart"

For a special dance, we had our families hold hands in a circle around us as we danced to "Circle of Life".

It was an awesome night!!
