Hello all. I was wondering how much everyone spends at Disney. I'm not talking about a budget, I know how much I spend:lol: .

I'm just wondering how much dough people are willing to fork out for their disney vacations.

We're going in Oct for a week and plan to spend a little under $3000.

A few months ago my cable guy told me he went for 15 days and spent $11,000!!!!!!!!!!!

How much do you spend?
What's the most you've spent?

Just wondering!

I think when all was said and done we spent close to $4000 when we went in Apr of 02. We also went to Sea World and Busch Gardens but stayed at my wifes grandmothers in Tampa for 3 days so that saved us some dough. We were at Disney for 5 days. Stayed at the CB. When we go again(hopefully a year from this coming April) we will be looking at $5000. One more kid added and we want to stay longer at Disney....maybe like 7 nights.

$2,200.00 in August for FTP for 2 adults, 1jr and 1 child. about another $1,000 or so on food and about $300 on goodies. Give or take a few $.

Hm, about two weeks ago we spent probably a little over $5000 for two people. Since I was starting highschool the day after I got back my dad let me use the room key credit cards to buy anything I wanted. Big mistake!

My goodness thats hard to anwser but I have to say each year it gets more expensive. Beside the prices going up the kids are getting older. But my goal is still to keep it cheap as possible. I would say we spend about $400- 800 on lodging, about $700 on tickets. We have been buying 7 day tickets and spliting them up into to two vacations so the $700. is every other visit. I have no idea what we spend on food but were all big eaters! Even then we split meals and rent to frig. My biggest an newest project is spending money. We have been putting away all our change and today is about 9 months we have saved $505.00. Please know that I am a waitress which is why we have so much change but we make sure when we go out we dont make change anywhere. Anyway this is my way of letting the kids splurge at WDW. we spilt it up and they spend it on what ever they want!!My grand total I am gonna estimate at approx. 2,500. twice a year 5,000. not bad for a family of 6 ( the youngest kids are 4 and 1 though)

When I go for 4 days I usually spend around $500-$600 (myself), including tickets, hotel (Orbitz is a life saver), and other stuff.

Okay, you can tell me (I promise I won't tell)...what kind of drugs is your cable guy selling on the side?

I am on a poor measley old Policeman salary, when I went to Disney this past summer (honeymoon) we stayed at CBR for a week, and I believe the total amount of money that we spent was around $2,400. That included everything, and we actually came home with about $600 dollars. We even went there with the intent to buy whatever we wanted to buy. After all, it was vacation!

We spent about 7g's last time.

Not including the room( my cousins are DVC members), for 7 days at WDW BWV and 4-day DCL, I will probably spend 3600 just for me. That also doesn't include airfare because I can use miles.

Wow, looking at what a lot of folks are paying for their Disney Vacations, I am going to stop complaining! Heck, we were able to get round trip (non-stop) flights from New Orleans to Orlando for $317 (everything included and that was for the both of us). Of course we used Southwest...I don't know if that is good or bad.

I'm with you there! I was thinking our cable guy must be awfully well paid! Maybe I should install digital cable in my next career!

It depends on the year

This year we are spending for hotel room, air, food, cruise transfers, for 5 adults (two week vacation) Polynesian and a room on the disney cruise with a balcony (we went all out this year) it's about $9600 however, if we went and inside room and a moderate hotel, it would have been probably 3000 cheaper. This does not include spending money. We bought the Disney food voucher tickets so it's already paid for. We usually get the food plan at Disney but with the cruise the week after, we figured we would do the vouchers instead.

I do not usually post here..I mostly just lurk but I had to reply to this thread! Lets just say I am a bargain hunter, and from reading these posts, It looks like I have done a good job!! My last trip tp Disney was in June/July of this year. Ready for this?? For 7 of us flying down from NH and Staying in 2 rooms at AKL for 11 nights, plus all spending money & tickets...My grand total?? Came in at less than $5000:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: And we did not skimp out on anything..we had several character meals and pretty much 'spent freely'. We had an awesome time.

So there is my 'brag' for the day..I hope to start posting more soon!

That is an awesome deal. Did you go during the Fairytale Princess deal? If you did that explains it. Also, we didn't even try to save money this year. We did at the end but you have to understand, with 5 adults in one room at the Poly it comes to the cost plus $75.00 extra per night for the 3 extra people so to adds up. We could have definitley gotten a much cheaper room on the cruise but with wanting the balcony you don't get it cheap. So you have to realize we wanted to go the extras this trip. Other trips we do real well with but this one was sort of a treat!

Kennyj29,

No we did not do the package. We actually lucked out and had a room at Riverside booked at the annual pass rate (I bought the pass just to get the discount!), then we were upgraded to AKL..We would not ever be able to stay there otherwise with such a big family! I guess I should have also mentioned one of the '7' is a 1 y/o so she was free. I was still happy with the cost since we had to get 2 rooms...I hope I can do that well again next time!!:animwink:

I know what you mean Trish, we were booked last year at Caribbean Beach and because of construction, we paid very little to be moved up to the Polynesian. Those are the best deals!@!! LOL, I wish that would happen every trip!!! Anyway, it's nice once in awhile to get back a little since we all pay so much money all the time to stay there. I think Disney should at least give a free three night trip for a certain amount of money spent or a certain number of trips or days that you do. Wouldn't that be nice to the people who visit all the time!!!!
