How long would it take to replace SGE and MILF?

1.Yes the carpets need to be removed
2. Jungle cruise needs a make over
3. Tiki Room needs to either go or be redone
4. It also needs another E-ticket (Indy)

I wouldn't like this they did a terrible job with this in DL, the sinple inserted some non moving Tarzan figures in a few areas.

You couldn't be more wrong TL is the land in the biggest need of an over haul.

1. The Indy speedway doesn't fit in TL, it either needs to make way for a new attraction or be rethemed from a 70/80's race track to a futuristic high way.
2. SGE fits the TL theme but is a god awful attraction.
3. MILF technically fits the TL theme, while I would rather see it in DHS I wouldn't mid it staying.
4. Buzz SRS, should be either drastically updated or should go, imo there is no need for 2 Toy Story shooting rides in WDW.
5. TTA needs some work on the script.
6. COP needs to leave TL, in no longer fits in TL. EIther move it to Epcot for a progress themed pavilion, move it to Main street, or move it to DCA.
7. TL needs another E-ticket use the space where COP was and the space from the old Galaxy Theater.
8. SM still needs some work the lighting, and Audio effects could still be added at a later date.

What could they replace it with in such a short period of time?
I wouldn't worry about adding new attractions to areas like the old Galaxy Theater and old Skyway station. TL needs futuristic themes that are cohesive and well thought out. MILF is basically a quick fix to an area that needed help. SGE didn't keep pulling in the crowds.
1. MILF needs to be moved to DHS. Fits better in the Pixar area.
2. SGE needs a new attraction as well as the MILF building.
3. Old Skyway building (now new TL bathroom sector) could use a really nice sitdown restaurant like New York City's Mars 2112.
4. Agree, I love CoP and it basically needs a whole new update on the last scene as well as alot of sprucing up in the other scenes.
5. Love the Speedway. I think it could use the HKDL treatment.

As for Adventureland, well I think it also needs some TLC.
1. Having kids, I think Aladdin's Carpet ride is fine. Only problem I see is that there is really no Agrabah theme around it.
2. JC just needs some sprucing up. Love the classic attraction.
3. Tiki Birds, well, just do me a favor and update the classic original. Heck, bring back the Florida's Orange Bird while you're at it for the Sunshine Terrace.
4. Never quite understood why the powers that be didn't take full advantage of the POTC franchise. Having a sitdown restaurant in the Adventureland Verrandah with a POTC makeover with Jack and the gang in appearance would have been killer.
5. As for having another E ticket type attaction, I think space is at a premium.
6. I think the Swiss Family Treehouse is perfect in Adventureland. With a new movie in the works or greenlighted, I think an update to the new version would probably do the trick.

I agree with everyone about the Speedway. I more YesterdayLand than TomorrowLand.

I love MILF, IMO, but that may be because the only time I went on it I was THAT GUY.

SGE fine for now, a lot of things much more important that need to happen first.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is still a very popular attraction. Even though it technically doesn't stand up to other D-Tickets, I'd say based on popularity it probably qualifies.

That being said, I would love to see it plussed. I don't think it would be too difficult to keep the same concept of shooting aliens/targets while removing the Buzz Lightyear theme if that's an approach they wanted to take.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if the character takeover of Tomorrowland doesn't really concern many people at Disney because of all the things the hardcore fans are troubled by, this seems to be one of the smaller problems.

This was a big project on the table a couple years ago. I don't know its status since, but it most likely was put on the back-burner until the full completion of Pixar Place.

I've always heard that Tarzan's Treehouse pulls off some of the coolest effects Disney has ever put out. I don't know which people are saying they did a terrible job, and even if they did then they're def. the minority from what I've read.

To address your TLand suggestions:

1. Yes, speedway does fit. Maybe ot futuristic, but it allows children (and adults) to drive. Something they will be doing a lot of in the future. It's a Disney classic and staple for DL parks.
2. It does. The ride is neat, the story is bad.
3. MILF in no way fits TLand. In NO possible way.
4. BLSRS is one of the better atteractions in TLand IMO. I could go on it over and over again. Why is this such a bad idea? It's like TSMM in real life! Why can't there be 2 shooter games? They both are quality attractions. Plus beyond the shooter video game and Toy Story aspect they are nothing alike.
5. IMO, it's not a big deal. It's a simple tour ride and people bash it endlessly... I don't get it.
6. CoP is probably one of the few things in TLand that fits 100%. Plus, it's a classic for many. They should hang onto this IMO, but maybe update the story, AAs, effects...
7. Well, use the new expansion plot and build a replica Axiom :sohappy:
8. Yes. Hopefully soon sorta like TTA was updates after the refurb finished (new spiel)

They can pull off a lot in a short time if they put all of their attention to it. Unlikely since FLand will begin construction soon, but you never know...

OMG you're kidding right? MILF is a great attraction. I agree that it doesn't fit in Tomorrowland very well and would fit better in DHS, but the attraction itself is awesome. It's something my whole family can do together, and it is actually pretty funny too

Now SGE on the other hand, I wouldn't miss it. My sis and I went on it for the first time last year, and I was left with the smell of chili dogs in my nose for the rest of the day :lookaroun And this is coming from a Stitch fan :p

...as Tarzan happened a long time ago and wasn't nearly successful as it's earlier 1990s animated counterparts.

The only Disney animated features released in the 1990s to do better than Tarzan at the box office were Aladdin and The Lion King (even adjusting for inflation for Beauty and the Beast).

Not advocating putting plastic dummies in the Robinson's home, just trying to get the point across that Tarzan was a BIG hit (biggest since Lion King) and I'm surprised Disney hasn't done much to retain his popularity. Could do with paying rights to the family of the author who wrote the book, as anytime he was used specific credits for that copyright had to be made like CBS' ownership of the Twilight Zone TV series.

Technically, SGE could be swapped in 6 to 8 weeks.
Is that how long the AE switch took?

I agree on TL, save for the comments on it's look, and on CoP. While CoP would go better in EPCOT, I still think that it works well in TL for nostalgia purposes (It's still Walt's in a way.) and if they provide a good backstory. Which they need to reinforce in ours. The Metro Retro Society FTW. :D

Look? It's messy now, but it could easily be cleaned up, and have the same features.

Wow, where did you hear that?! There's nothing really special about it at all really. All they did was just gave it some Tarzan themeing and that's all really...

It's okay, but I'd prefer they kept the Robinson theme at WDW.

I think our Treehouse is just fine. I've seen the Tarzan one and it really isn't that great of a deal. Idk about the Chip & Dale Treehouses. I think we should just get some repainting or something, if anything, nothing at all, it's just fine.

Agreed. The Tarzan addition was hardly an improvement at all really. Just more marketable.

Precisely. But, sometimes Disney just over-markets if you will. Perfect example Stitch... Cursed was the day of November 16, 2004 when they decided to bring to us SGE. They featured a full castle show for the evil creature's opening day, make him have his own TV show, give it a ticket picture, make a failed attempt to make it part of the Fab Five, Give us this crappy show in the Tomorrowland Theater(I would much rather see the Disney World Is Your World show). What's next??? A full land for the little alien??

How about building replacement for Speedway over in Epcot in the form of a Jr. Test Track, then use speedway track to build a workable Rocket Rodds with proper banking.

Bring back AE to replace SGE

Finish TL theming started at last re-do

Move COP fully restored to Walt's original to Main Street

use COP building as interactive queue where you sit in line till your theater is up - thinking an E ticket based on Tron (backlot area where parking lot is now) would be cool to be able to sit in a long line for a change

Family coaster added between TTA platform & Space Mt. - Jr. Space Mt. using same rockwork like entrance to TL

Update Buzz

MILF to DHS / replace with anything

Here's my thoughts:

TL

-expand avenue of the planets themeing through the rest of the land.

SGE- bring back a new and improved AE

MILF- I don't know what to replace it with, but replace it with somthing!

CoP- Update finale and rework earlier scenes. Enforce "Tomorrowland Metro Retro Historical Society" themeing.

Skyway-Replace with a pizza resteraunt

Speedway-Give it the HKDL treatment.

TTA- Rework narration so its more in the spirit of the previous one.

Buzz-Rework it so its more like DL's with hand-held guns, light up targets, and interactive effects when targets are hit.

Get ride of crappy stitch show stage and bring back Galaxy Palace theater.

AL:

Jungle Cruise-Give it DL style refurb.

Aladdin: Get rid of it. Its going to be very unneeded when the new Dumbo opens.

Tiki Room: I think a fitting replacement would be to make it a Tiki-Room resteraunt like in the original plans for the DL attraction.

Treehouse: Keep the same. No Tarzan!

POTC: It needs a more proper refurbishment and reworking. Also, I'd like to see the Tortuga resteraunt idea that was shot down a while ago come into reality.

I thought it was lousy, but somebodies must of liked it in order for it to make over $448 million worldwide.
I guess. It lacked the charm of other Disney movies. Beginning of the end for me. :(

THAT's plausible. It fits much better, too.

Does anyone like the idea of a WALL-E Attraction to replace the Speedway?
WALL-E is perfect for TL. I'd like to see it take over SGE.
