How long would it take to replace SGE and MILF?

I'm in favor of adding an updated, yet retro futuristic version of Adventure thru Inner Space (or the Cosmic Journey version designed for WestCOT) between the old Skyway and COP.

The show building could be extended outside the berm by means of an overhead bridge.

My favorite question.

I hate both SGE and MILF and would like to see a refurb of these. TK is still relevant, and would work great in that spot.

It could also be argued that making parks that try to cater to every demographic would make them generic and the same. It's like a movie that tries to fit into every genre.

What you fail to realize is that, while the manufacturers keep making new cars, nobody is making new parking spots for the new cars. After a while, the car to parking spot ratio is a little tipped, and they NEED to add to the existing lots.

True...! That's why and how they shouldm keep things specialized. Don't make everything for everyone. Just smart buisness, and keeps the product fresh.

And :ROFLOL: at the second comment. ;)

I like this. A lot. :D

Just to give you an average person's opinion. My parents just returned from the "World" and they took my mom's sister and her husband for the first time. Although my parents have been to WDW a few times I would still put them in the average guest category. They're not hardcore fans and they just go to the "World" to have a good time. They rode SGE for the first time this past trip and they thought it was... horrible! They were even embrassed they brought her sister and husband on it! My mother who never has an opinion on anything keep telling me, "I don't understand, why would Disney make this ride!?!" My mother likes most everything in WDW!

So it's not only the "fan boys" that don't like SGE!

My opinion... I just want to see WALL E somewhere, somehow! I don't have a problem with MILF, though... but I do think it would be better suited to Pixar Place in DHS!
I still to do this day wonder what the hell they were thinking when they replaced AE with this.

Well said, and I agree with moving MILF to Pixar Place and keeping Wall-E out of TL.

Why is Wall-E not acceted into TLand?

He is tomorrow! The whole concept of that movie is to think about what we do today and how it will effect tomorrow. Where humanity is headed if people consistently remain the same. Luckily this story is a bit exaggerated, but the moral of the story isn't.

With all this talk of Wall-E, what kind of attraction would like to see? and would what you want fit in the space?

I just don't want any more characters in TL. Disney needs to get original and not need to rely on characters as scapegoats for new rides. Besides, he should be in PP, where he is REALLY needed.

Because Tomorrowland is supposed to represent a happy future where humans, robots, and aliens live together in harmony.

Also, what he said:

Exactly, they built Pixar Place, why don't they use it?

What's wrong with Disney relying on characters, especially one rarely ever seen in Disney parks, if they create quality attractions?

Er, it is? Even so, in Wall-E the robots DO have a great relationship with humans. And they do eventually get their happy ending.

Pixar Place does need things. But I'd rather them use Pixar flicks that don't really fit in other lands (Incredibles, Monsters) and save the other titles for their designated lands. Just my opinion.

TL flowed much better as a land before they started plugging characters into everything. There was a time, beleive it or not, when Disney did not have to rely on characters solely for a ride idea, they could just make up an amazing story all in its own...

oh those were the days

Nothing but Pixar Place really needs something new, and Wall-E could have great oppurtunities there, whereas he would be limited in TL. Besides, quality character attractions are rare in Disney's case nowadays.

But you must remember the heavy and dark message that comes before the happy ending. Not sure if that's something I would want to see in any park, period.

Exactly!!! TK and AE were prime examples of this. Both were unique and did not rely at all on characters to give them the edge they needed. Besides, everyone has fond memories and good thoughts of those 2 attractions now that they are gone.

I highly doubt people will have good things to say of MILF and SGE when they leave.

OR they could use a preexisting story that has a huge fan base and create a quality attraction focusing directly on the focus of Tomorrow.

Are fans against Disney characters even if they're slapped on a great ride? TSMM is amazing.... so is Indy at DL.... oh and Muppets.... oh and Fantasmic... oh and World of Color. Isn't the bottom line "we don't want crap attractions" rather than "we don't want characters"?
