How long would it take to replace SGE and MILF?

You wouldn't like them if they looked like this.

Not at all. For DLP it actually works, though.

I agree on the fact that the rocks are great. IMO Disney does a really great job with rock work in general. Canada pavilion, Everest, BTMR, all great however TL really takes the cake .

Can someone please explain what sense they make thematically?

Can you explain to me why they don't make any sense thematically? They add texture to a space that didn't have it before and contribute to an otherworldly apperance by using unusual formations and colours.

I'll take them over concrete anyday, and your point about comparing them to the ones in Disneyland doesn't make any sense. Yes they don't look nice, but guess what? The ones that exist in MK don't look like that on top of not begin in a similar location etc. Really what was the point in posting that picture?

But hey, giant white slabs of concrete with waterfalls turned off for 14 years was so much better, right? It's what Walt wanted and I know it!

I appreciate your sarcasm but seriously wouldn't maybe a dancing waters show be better for that area.

The rocks add to the futuristic oasis our TLand is supposed to have. Another remnant of that concept is the metal palms. The concept art showed more actual trees, but we only got a little. It does seem to work very well though with the entrance. It looks like you've arrived at a rocky planet.

It's not like the rocks in MK's TL take up the entire lagoon near TL. They surround the entrance... A dancing water show would work there.

I tend to simply love the entrance to my Tomorrowland at MK. Especially at night.

Where's the room? You would get wet....Like with the fountains on the old pylon towers.

Exactly. I really don't know why people don't seem to get that.

If a dancing water show were put on the level of the water surrounding the hub you'd never see it because the bridge going to the land is so far up. Plus any water that might run or cascade on surfaces would suffer from the same mildew issues that cased the original entrance waterfalls to look like Slimer ran through them.

I'm sure if the Imagineers thought the waterfall towers were of any use they would have salvaged them instead of spending money to tear them down. I'm happy with the look of the land from the hub and would prefer "themeing" money to be spent on areas beyond Rocketower Plaza.
