Yep, me too! I googled "Disney World fan site" and it was the very first website.

I found it through the mousebar on pocketdisney.com, which was mentioned in Disney Magizine. It was in the news catagory, and it was the bottom option, which I clicked.

I honestly don't remember, but considering my join date (September 2001), I think it was through a search engine, looking for news on how WDW responded to the national tragedy of September 11, 2001.

I remember finding pictures here of the parks clearing out, and stories of how they evacuated them (by simply saying that the parks were closed due to unforeseen circumstances, as I seem to recall).

Later on (the next year), I discovered the often-recalled thread from members here actually finding out about the attacks in real time. It stuck with me, too.... ( http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=1994)

I have met some good people on this forum. Can't believe FIVE YEARS, though!!
