An hour wait to just get in and then god knows what the wait will be for e attractions. The magic just keeps getting better and better--yea right
When I was a local, MK was the park I visited least (despite living behind it) simply because the TTC is hell on earth.TTC...reason NUMBER ONE why I don't go to MK unless I have to
There has to be a better work around to get to MK if staying off siteWhen I was a local, MK was the park I visited least (despite living behind it) simply because the TTC is hell on earth.
You still have to go to your initial park before you can park hop.FWIW, this is exactly why the 2pm park hopping rule exists.
Non-sense.FWIW, this is exactly why the 2pm park hopping rule exists.
Correct, but many people will rope drop another park and then visit MK or DHS mid morning. Staffing is replenished around 2pm.You still have to go to your initial park before you can park hop.
Staffing levels fluctuate throughout the day; that's why the 2pm rule exists. This is the stated reason for it internally.Non-sense.
Forcing everyone to wait to the same time just concentrates when people do actually park-hop.. instead of being more randomized through the day.
Unless you are suggesting they need 6hrs to get through their normal opening crowd loads... lol
Do you mean prior to the 2pm rule?Correct, but many people will rope drop another park and then visit MK or DHS mid morning. Staffing is replenished around 2pm.
Never let a crisis go to waste! After seeing these lines you know some Disney VP is coming up with their own paid version of TSA Precheck
Why? This is how they want it - staying onsite gives you the perk of skipping TTC.There has to be a better work around to get to MK if staying off site
I am saying if the 2pm rule didn't exist, these crowds would be exasperated even further. Park Pass capacity is designed to handle a set number of rope droppers and then some part timers drop off mid-morning. Staffing at the gates increase again around 2pm.Do you mean prior to the 2pm rule?
This makes total sense and I didn't really think about the two needing each other. The Park Pass Reservation System and the 2PM Park Hopping restrictions go hand-in-hand.I am saying if the 2pm rule didn't exist, these crowds would be exasperated even further. AFAIK it is the first thing that will go away at some point this year but they need to beef up staffing late morning into the afternoon. This makes total sense and I didn't really think about the two needing each other. Remove the 2PM requirement, and you have people tapping into EPCOT in the morning, pivoting seconds later back through the gate, and on their way to MK via monorail. Crowd management is nonexistent in this scenario.
If I ever needed confirmation that the 2PM restriction wasn't going away....this is it.
That's just it, they DON'T WANT TO BEEF UP STAFFING! They want to run with the least staff as possible.AFAIK it is the first thing that will go away at some point this year but they need to beef up staffing late morning into the afternoon.
This is both true and false. They're not staffed where they want to be (not even close) but they certainly do want to keep it minimal. Point is, that's not a factor here. That's just it, they DON'T WANT TO BEEF UP STAFFING! They want to run with the least staff as possible.
