My friend saw it twice in as many nights. Then the third night I saw I Am Legend with him. I have to wonder how much he spent on overpriced crap between the three.

That kind of humor is usually right up my alley. I think it didn't work for me b/c it was based entirely off another movie. It ended up being really silly. Although I do believe that John C. Reilly did I really good job with it. For it being such a silly movie, he did a good job and I see now why he was nominated for a golden globe for his role.

Walk Hard is great! You really need to watch Walk the Line before it though. Pretty darn funny!

(And yes, you must see Talladega Nights, Both of these movies surprised me to no end!)

See, and I didn't like how it totally spoofed that movie. Sure there were parts that I laughed at...but for the most part, when it was over, I didn't walk away thinking, man that was REALLY funny.

I like it better when it spoofs things that aren't related to movies. It's probably the same reason I don't really think the Scary Movie things are funny...why I don't like any of the other movie spoofs out there.

I love that kind of humor though.

No...it's based off Walk the Line.

However Taladega Nights is one of my favorites. And you should see it.

Aah. That's actually the one I thought it was spoofing when I first saw the trailer.

Haven't seen Walk the Line, but I've seen Talladega many times. :D

I'm the same, and also different. I like parodies of existing movies or also other things (even themselves); I just like it when they execute it properly. A lot of cultural references are fine, but it takes real wit to make a parody great.

My two favourite movies of all-time: Airplane! and Holy Grail. You can figure out why.

Then I think you'd like Walk Hard. It reminded me of Airplane: Great cast, and they pretty much include every joke they could think of.

(In a good way, not that Scary Movie junk)
