I just read that SW is changing some of its flights to Orlando from Manchester - hopefully they'll wait til after our February trip - DD is flying in to meet us.

What I found with Dings usually during this time around here is that you have to travel mid-week, which doesn't work for us with school vacations.

I am trying to book a flight for October to Orlando from Detroit and I am getting all these prices in the 270s and up. I really can't afford that. I am new at booking flights. Does that sound about right or is that high??
I am so confused!

Actually, the prices haven't been much lower then this. No matter what day of the week it is. And I've been watching. It's been really weird.

I haven't really paid much attention this year since we're driving down, but I know in the previous 7 years, we've never been able to get a decent doable fare in February, so I'd just book it as soon as the dates came out.

Around here, that's vacation week for most schools, so there is no need for them to cut prices - they can fill the planes anyway.
