I always did that with my kids too - and the thing is you really only have to do it once and they'll know you mean business after that.

I agree. Mine are young enough that the mere threat of going back to the hotel is enough to get them in line... But if we had to actually do it, we would.

We also have been teaching the kids to always say thank you to the characters after each hug/photo op. Last trip, they were both pros at saying "Thank you! Merry Christmas!" to each one. It was really cute. :o

Ariel technically is not at breakfast- she is mostly at lunch/dinner. I believe the 4 you mentioned are usually at breakfast, and also in the WS during the day.

Aw thanks, that will make Abby happy. We're spending that whole day at WS, in fact, I think that's our last day in the parks altogether. Right now it's Sun at AK, Mon at MK, Tuesday at Epcot (FW), Wed at MK, Thursday at DHS, and Friday at WS.

Joel's getting better at using 'please' when he wants something, as well as 'thank you'. Of course he asks for 'cookies please' with a Cookie Monster growl

Sure thing. When I had breakfast there the characters were Snow White (in the lobby), Mary Poppins, Mulan, Jasmine, and Pocahontas. Weird.

It's never to early to teach them manners. So many kids now have absolutely no clue.

The first time DH and I took the pastor's kids to the zoo, the oldest started picking on her brother for no apparent reason. I took her by the hand and marched her right out of the zoo and we sat in the car while Dave and the other 2 kids took their time enjoying the animals. She was dumbfounded that anyone would do that to her - the child had never heard the word No in her life.

We've had dinner at Akershus twice. First time: Aurora (for pictures), Jasmine, Snow White, Cinderella, and Belle.

Second time: Belle (for pictures), Aurora, Ariel, Cinderella, and Jasmine.

Oh, mine have heard it, believe me. We stress good manners and politeness here. Although, it's an ongoing lesson.... :hammer:
