WOO HOO!!! Its about time. Hopefully, a destruction date will be announced soon.

Although, it would be cool just to relocate it instead of going to the grave yard like the wand.

The Hat could go outside the park, at the front, in the place where they now put the Christmas tree in December.

The Christmas tree could then be put inside the park where it used to be.

This makes me so happy!

I wonder if the hat is the only thing moving in another direction.... I mean, what else could change that involves not changing something that should have been changed a long, long time ago?

Fantasmic? :lookaroun

World of Color to replace? PLEASE?????? :lookaroun

I think the best idea for the hat came from a Cast Member I talked to at the Studios. She believes that Disney should partner with NASA and attach twin rockets to either side of the Hat. On New Years Eve, have the crowd stand to the sides of the street and light the sucker up. Then, the scenario can go in two directions, an orbital advertisement for Disney, or a Sorcerertastic Finale explosion!

The second best idea I heard from yet another Cast Member, was to build a ramp in front of said Hat and have the High School Musical float, rigged with a couple of tons of dynamite, come barreling down Hollywood Blvd. and presto, two problems solved in one entertaining explosion!

Some days you eat the mouse.
Some days the mouse eats you.
But never give into the mouse without a fight!

KUNGALOOSH!

Why it just needs an update?

Is it possible that The Hat could be moving over to pop century for the rumored retheme?

Never thought of that

:dazzle:Anyone else like the hat?:cry::cry::cry::cry::(:(:(:(:(

I love the hat!! I do think it could be in a better location though. It kind of takes away from the "Old Hollywood" feel that the Studios is supposed to have. I think, if correctly placed, it would look nice at DTD!

It would look good there actually. It would look good if they put it on some sort of stand in the lake and lit it up. :D

I don't really understand the hatred over it, I don't mind it.

Here's a random pic of it I took my last trip:

But didn't the hat just get repainted less than a year ago?? why invest in the refurbishing of its surface if it is only getting taken down 2-3 year later?

Yes! I'd pay extra to see this! I'd pay even more if Zac Efron was on the float.
