It was definitely closed during my visit from Dec. 13 - Dec. 19, 2009.
Spoke to a "crew member" about it during the Macy's Christmas parade. Yes, we got suckered into walking the parade with one of their balloons and had a long conversation about the ride with one of the employees. He mentioned something about doing maintenance on the ride every morning and was scared something bad will happen with the ride.
Bummer we didn't get to ride it at all :brick:
