Better take a last look at the Osborne Lights while you can. Disney is officially giving them the boot after this year!
:-(

"In order to prepare for some incredible experiences coming to the park, including the recently announced Toy Story Land and a Star Wars-themed land, we will not be able to present The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights in the future. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the family of Jennings Osborne for letting us share their family tradition year after year. And thank you to all of you for being part of the spectacle with us. Here’s to making more memories in this, the 20th and final year."

Yes, building on the success of eliminating iconic Christmas decorations such as Lights of Winter at Epcot , today WDW announces eliminating Osborn lights at Studios. Yea, I know, construction/location/blah,blah,blah. Soon 'visiting WDW at Christmas to see the decorations' will be like visiting in, say March or July, or September.

Gotta be a parade or fireworks. They already upgraded the Dream Lights and those are the only things presented during the parties and to some day guests. I somehow doubt it's Country Bears Christmas Hoedown: A Hillbilly Holiday Spectacular with Teeth-Optional.

But he said probably not this year... So I guess that means nothing new or different this year?

@marni1971 couid have also been referring to the DAWM replacement.

I hope Cinderella is making a killing off of leasing her castle to the two Arendelle girls. I thought the effects last year were great but it irks me that they kinda brush who's castle it is under the rug so to say. I can think of several ways to intro the show with Cinderella that would make it have better continuity with the area.

It's Elsas castle now as she makes money for TWDC

What's up with the terrible blackout dates for annual pass holders to attend MVMCP... If you arrive any day after Dec 8th you essentially are **** outta luck?

You could always just pay to go just like everybody else.

You really are not "_____" out of luck.

Sorry I must be misunderstanding how the system works. I was under the impression that as an annual pass holder I could only attend the party on the dates specified(last date being Dec 8). If I wanted to go any other day I could still do that I would just have to pay the full $79 or whatever the general cost is?

If you go on the passholder days, you get a discount, but after Dec. 8th, you pay full price.

That makes perfect sense, thanks for clearing that up.

By next year there probably won't be discounted tickets for AP holders... much like that 20% merch discount premium pass holders used to get... move along... nothing to see here....

Even touringplans.com says that there is only castle lighting on party nights and at 8 pm. I have always seen it lit at 6:15 each night.

When will the first one be so we know for sure it is being lit at 6:15?
