No surprise after listening to the leaked soundtrack, but I’m obsessed with this show. The music, the message, the projections, the fountains; they all coalesce so beautifully, especially during “Remember Me” and the signature song.

Some larger pyro at certain moments would have been great, but I would take this any day over something like Enchantment.

Also have to say Illuminate looks great - had never seen anything from it before this thread, but it’s so much better than Shanghai had in 2018.

Oh I didn't realize they changed the night show either. I saw people talking about it being good and I was about to disagree... but that was the old show.

Finally got to see it in full showmode without the rain and here are my thoughts.

Im really proud of Hongkong Disneyland for getting and giving us Momentous, You really feel like they put a lot of heart and effort into this show, and it gives me the same feelings that i had with Happily Ever After and Illuminate!.

Congratulations to Hongkong Disneyland.

Meanwhile whoever made Disney Enchantment and Harmonious should learn alot from this show,
This is how you do a nighttime spectacular.
I do think if Magic Kingdom had of got this show with a 50th Anniversary theme song weaving it together (maybe not You Are The Magic!) and the same level of fireworks as Happily Ever After that people would have been a lot more satisfied. That would have seemed more a lateral move than the downgrade that is Enchantment. Must say I love that Hercules is becoming such a staple of the park shows as I have a very soft spot for that film!

Not sure if there is a reason, but this does seem very light on fireworks. It reminds me of the Disneyland Paris shows where they face restrictions on what fireworks they use and so have to rely more on projections and fountains.

That's really the only flaw I can pinpoint compared to HEA (soundtrack feels like a lateral move, even if we might connect to one vs. the other), and it seems there's a logistical reason why they moved the pyro in this direction. Still, the fantastic projections and fountain work just might make up for it.

Incredible show, and proof of just how lazy Enchantment was. I say that as someone who doesn't completely hate it (whereas HEA and Momentous won me over from the first YouTube viewing).

Regarding fireworks, From what i Know is that Hongkong Disneyland Sits in an island where Airplanes fly frequently near the area and i forgot what it is but there is a law with regards to high level fireworks in that area and thats one of the reasons they cant have high level shells and of course sounds of pyrotechnics are limited as well,
Because residents living nearby.

Disney In The Stars had the same problem.

Bear in mind that HKDL park will not be able to have any large shell fireworks in its nightime spectaculars anymore like they used to have before the castle transformation (apart, maybe, on special occasions). This is because Frozen land is being built on a backstage parcel of land, right behind the castle and Fantasyland, that used to be the area used to launch the big shell fireworks (and the fallout zone).
This is the main reason why this show is light on big fireworks compared to the previous nighttime spectacular (Disney in the stars)

Even with that pyro constraint in place, it’s a fantastic show — the projections, fountains, and lasers ensure it still feels whole. I’m genuinely loving Momentous.

Looks like they're assembling the ice palace (from a while ago). Are they going with blue or white/grey? Reminds me of the different color versions of the Frozen II floats for Magic Happens (blue) and DLP (white).

Can’t wait to see how Arendelle and the castle will come together.

I agree. Its a shame Hong Kong didn’t get a more unique area. I’d love to see a larger Alice land (based on the animated movie) somewhere one day

They have two gardens between the fantasyland train station. Perhaps Disney should dedicate one of them for one new dark ride pad.

Does anyone know about the when the castle fountains will be back? (Ones used in "Do you want to build a snowman", "I just can't wait to be king" & "Remember me")

quite beautiful.

But I'm not willing to wait 3 days of:

qualified hotel house arrest
red tape/bureaucracy
testing
govt tracking

no Disney, not even Tokyo, is worth it.
