Help on getting to these restaurants from parks

I have my ADR's booked and I was just going through the park schedules and deciding on where I might be each day before my dining reservation. Some are in the same parks I will be at but I needed a little help on timing and the best way to get there for some of the resort dining that I have never been to.

One day I will be in Epcot in the morning and then leaving for Boma for dinner at AKL. I am assuming the best way is to get on the bus to AKL from Epcot. Any idea on the time it takes to get there from Epcot? I was planning on giving myself an hour. Will I need more time or less? Once I get there will it be easy to locate the restaurant?

Another day I am going from DHS to Cape May Cafe. I heard that I can take a boat over and am interested in doing that. How much time in advance should we board the boat. I want to check out the Boardwalk but that can be after dinner. Does the boat drop you off right at the Beach Club or does it stop at one of the others and require some time walking?

I will be going to Grand Floridian Cafe and Kona from Magic Kingdom. Just hop on the monorail correct? This should require not as much time?

Thanks for the help!

We generally leave 1 hour before our scheduled time. Gives us time to let our girls look around gift shops, etc.

All your transportation ideas looks right, and I agree leave about an hor to get where you are going. And yes, Boma is easy to locate once you are in AKL.

You can take the boat from DHS to te BC for the Cape May, however unless you either have people who cannot walk in your party, or it is super blazing hot out, or pouring rain, or you hit the boat perfectly - IE just as its ready to leave, I would walk.

It's about a 20 minute walk from the front gate of DHS. A little exercize to get you ready for dinner :) Seriously though, the boat is SLOW, because it makes many many stops. If you don't want to walk the whole way, take the boat from DHS to the first stop (Swan/Dolphin) get off there and walk the rest of the way.

But yes, the boat does stop right in front of the Beach Club. It also stops at Swan/Dolphin and the Boardwalk first - thats what takes so long.

As said previously, it's an easy walk from DHS to the Beach Club for Cape May. It's about a 20 minute walk along the canal. We did it in reverse about a month ago after having dinner at Rose and Crown and then heading over to the Studios in the evening.

As for going to Kona and Grand Floridian from the Magic Kingdom, As well as the monorail, there's a small resort water launch that does a MK/GF/Poly loop. This is the way we traveled when we went to early morning EMH at MK and then headed over to Kona at the Poly for a late breakfast. Then we took the resort launch back over to MK for the rest of our day. It was a pleasant and uncrowded way to travel to the resorts.

Boma is easy to locate. When you enter AKL, you will see a sign pointing you to the check in. At the check in they will tell you how to arrive at the restaurant. It's just down the stairs. Give yourself an hour, because even if you arrive early you can walk around & see the resort & animals.

As was said - very easy walk from DHS to Beach & Yacht Club and the Boardwalk. I did it several times in May. The boat is convenient too.

Monorail to Poly & GF takes just a few minutes. :)

agreed, if the weather is good i would walk it takes about 20-25 min to reach cape may cafe from DHS, and about 30 min on the boat. The boat leaves approx every 20min from DHS and run DHS, Swan/ Dolphin. Yacht/ Beach, Boardwalk, Epcot. Bear in mine if there is lightining in the area they will stop running the boats, so you may have to ask at DHS were to get a bus, if the boats are stoped. For every resterant except boma 1 hr should be fine in regards of travel time, however i would recomend you give yourself at least 1/12 - 2hrs to get at AKL as your little ones have more than the gift shops to explore. (there are public viewing areas of the Savannah off the lobby, and also near the main pool)

Once the bus from Epcot leaves, you'd be at AKL within 15 minutes. It's just a question of how you time the buses, how long you wait for it to show up, how long it takes to leave, etc.

The boat to the Boardwalk is very nice. I don't remember how long it takes, at least 15 minutes. I would allow myself an hour, though for wait time.

The monorailto the other places should only be a few minutes, but still allow yourself plenty of wait time.

Thank you all SO much for the great advice!!!!!! I really appreciate the help. Maybe we will walk along the canal depending on the time we have.
