The funny thing is, had the kid actually been in the balloon and been killed, the parents would have been searching frantically for someone to sue. After all, there could be no way they would have any responsibility for their kids fate.

Thank goodness! The Sheriff has held a press conference and they're pressing charges because it's all been deemed a hoax. The parents are looking at up to 6 years in prision, $500k in fines and Child Protective Services have been brought into the picture too.

That is fantastic news. People this crazy shouldn't be allowed to get away with shenanigans like this. The families 15 minutes of fame was up a very long time ago. I am glad they are now going to pay the price.

No, but I am going to go look. I am not generally an advocate of removing kids from their parents, but these people are seriously insane, unbalanced, and dangerous. Hopefully these kids can get a chance at growing up without the President and VP of the Tin Foil Hat Society.

WOW! I guess they made a big mistake.
I saw an interview with the other wife from wife swap and she said that he was a real jerk. She also didn't think that he worked more than two days a week, and that was for people in his neighborhood who needed handy man type jobs done. He was also turned down by TLC for some type of family show or something. This man is nuts! What kind of man would put his cildren in danger like he does while out chasing tornados?
