A friend and I went there this past February...we're walking by the carousel on the way towards Its A Small World and some girl calls out my friends name. CHRIS ????

What's so weird about it is that we had only been there for 20 minutes and all three of us are from Arizona.

I went with my family right after I finished student teaching and I was standing on a line with my family and all of i sudden i heard "Miss S! Miss S!!!" and sure enough it was one of my students.

I leave tomorrow to go again and one of the students I substitute for told me she is going to be there during the same time period, so who knows, it might happen again, haha

Yup, it has happened to me a couple times. Once back in the eighties when I was in the Navy, stationed in Orlando and used to go to MK and Epcot quite often. Ran into a high school classmate of mine there on spring break from college. And once a couple years ago, ran into a family that goes to the same dance classes as my kids. We knew they were going to be there and ran across them a couple times while we were there on property.

It happened to us back in January. I bumped into a fellow Coast Guard family near Rock-n-Rollercoaster. Turned out her daughter was at DHS for the national danceteam championship. So we got to watch her perform. It was neat!

It sure is funny, we live in Philadelphia, and it never fails that we run into some we know when we are in Disney... Just this past December when we were there, we ran into my sons classmate and her family, not just one day, but almost everyday we were there. It was nice, my son was excited to be able to rise some rides with his friend!

They say that if you stand still long enough eventually somebody you know will walk by.

We have run into my DH's doctor and his family at the Poly, one of his co workers on the monorail to EPCOT (didn't even know they were going to be there) and friends of my kids from school in the parks. My brother stopped going because he would run into his students and he said he goes on vacation to get away from them

We've run into friends and aquaintences in many places we've been on vacation over the years and always get a good laugh out of it.

Funny enough on my last trip i did! I am a former CM i used to work at the World of Disney in NYC, prior to that at the Disney Store. Well this past March while watching the Celebration Parade i saw a girl that used to work at our store...and then when we went to ride Toy Story Midway Mania....the guy loading us into the ride worked with me as well and he had moved down to Orlando a few months before that! It was funny to see people I knew!!!!

Not really anyone I knew, but 3 days into our last trip we ran into the family that was sitting beside us on the plane from Pittsburgh. We we're coming out of the Land, and they were going in. Thought to myself then, we were staying on site, they weren't, and with the thousands of people scattered through 4 parks, what would be the odds of running into the same strangers yuo happened to meet on a plane!

DH & I were @ the World with our DD playing softball. Walking through the parking lot at WWoSP to the diamonds, we hear "Hey LT" (nickname)!! AAU basketball was going on at the same time and a former student of DH saw us on the way to a softball game!! Only in WDW!

We were leaving ToT, walking down the sidewalk on Sunset Blvd. when a friend saw us approaching a snapped a picture of us. I had no idea he was there till we got closer and we saw him.

Another time, my son saw a friend from his Tae Kwon Do classes.

One other night we were sitting on a bench when our church secretaries son saw and recognized me. We had met only once before and his family was living in Orlando at the time.

Ya never know...........

My husband was a live in student at a fire station while in college and saw his captain while we were there on my first visit. On one of our latest trips we were waiting in line for TT and saw another volunteer firefighter also in line. Another time our lawyer saw us, but we didn't see him. We live in Maine, so it's quite a trip for anyone to take and usually don't expect to see people we know!

Never happened to me, but that would be very strange... Strangely, I always point out to my wife when I recognize someone from our resort

We're from Scotland, and when we went to Orlando a good few years ago, we ended up staying at the same hotel as a guy that was in the same year as my brother at school.

I just had this crazy thought. Have you been at WDWand run into someone from back home? The catch is you can not be living in FL.( all your FL folks thought you would say yea all the time)

The only people I've ever run into unexpectedly was my daughter. I had flown down to "surprise" her and the grandkids, and just happened to pick the one park she was visiting. I darn near scared her to death when I sneaked up behind her. It was sweet

Well, I take that back - I did run into the big boss of my department on a plane to Atlanta. He kept staring at me, and I kept trying to disappear into my seat. I could tell he was trying to place me, but he never said a word.

A lot of people from this area go to WDW during Mardi Gras, so it isn't unusual to see someone you know and didn't expect to see during that week.

Not mentioning any names, but if I were a politician trying to get away for a few romantic days with someone not my wife :lookaroun . . . WDW would NOT be a good choice to avoid being seen!
