I haven't seen anyone I knew in the park, But...... we just found out my husbands Uncle and his wife will be at the park the same time as us. So both husbands want to get together us wives think that is nice but difficult to do after you have already made all our adr's.

Yes, my sports teacher from the UK (saw outside MuppetVision). It's also happened to my family in Spain where we bumped into a former colleague of one of my parents.
I also once went to AK and went single rider on EE in the morning then exited Spaceship Earth in the afternoon only to be approached by the family I sat next to on EE.

My parents ran into my dads old boss, my current boss and we are all from upstate NY. It seems like since my dad has retired he runs into people he knows all over the place!

I saw my cousins while there last July 4th. They popped in for a quick visit on their way to a conference in Tampa. Weird that we live 13 hours away.

We were on BTMRR afer 2000 and had our band jackets on. A couple shouted to us and recognized the school. Turns out they lived around the corner from us back home.

We literally ran into someone we used to work with, DH stepped off the bus and the guy was chasing his kid, he and DH ran right into each other... now that's some serious mathematics study in probability!!!

Also called out of work once to make a quick extended weekend trip to WDW and play some golf. Didn't know the head of the department was on vacation, passed him heading off the 18th hole at LBV, he looked our way really quick, DH made a sharp turn and turned the golf cart around!!! Very funny!!!

I live in the U.K., approximately four and a half THOUSAND miles from WDW.On a trip about six years ago I was in Epcot, near The American Adventure, when I bumped into my barber from home.

My sister and I have never been real close. She lives in Northern California, and I live in Southern California. I tend to see her once a year for Xmas at my parents house. :xmas:
In 2002, my girlfriend (now wife) and I spent 10 nights at All Star Music & Sports. I called my folks to say Hi and they said by chance my sister was staying at the Swan. (She was a travelling convention coordinator, in a different place every week).
I got in touch with her and we had a nice dinner at Fulton's Crab house.
Who would have thought I'd travel 2600 miles and run into my sister?

Yes, the best is trying to avoid people from home when you have seen them but they haven't seen you yet. Tried to avoid one family several times on one trip only to end up in line for Pirates with them.

In 2007, I was walking through what was then MGM Studios with my best friend when we heard "Hey.. HEY MIKE!" Someone he knew when he lived in Texas was there. He lived in Texas 13 years ago.

I thought it would only happen him  Even around here, we can't go anywhere without someone recognizing him.

Last July I saw a family I know in the queue for Toy Story Mania. They were too far away for me to say anything and I wasn't giving up my spot in line :) I mentioned it to them when I got home and saw them.

So, did you get called on the carpet when you got back to work?

YES this has happened to my family a couple times.

The first time was on a bus to one of the parks and my dad was wearing his jacket with our town name on it and the guy next to us is like hey we live there too. and then another family said they lived one town over. we ending up spending some of our time with these people.

The second and third time was in April 2008. We were staying at ALMu and my friend was staying at ALS. we knew we were both going and joked about seeing eachother but didn't expect we would. then on the bus ride back from AK we ran into eachother.
Also that same trip, we were in line for the tea cups and my mom ran into one of her co-workers who was a row in front of us!

This has happened 3 times to us. We ran into my wife's friend(our kids were in same class) when we were waiting for the Crystal Palace breakfast. The same trip we ran into a worker at one of my hospital accounts while in the gift shop at BCVs. Another year we surprisingly ran into my son's baseball coach with his family while waiting for Buzz Lightyear.

It's happened to me as well, only this time it was a childhood friend. We were at Blizzard Beach and going to catch the bus back our resort and met my childhood friend, her family, and her sister's family at the bus stop.

But this has also happened to me internationally. We were just in Ireland and ran into a family, not that we necessarily knew, but we live near each other knew a lot of the same people.

It's truly a small world after all!
